It's going to be a wait and see situation, but not sure most players would've seen exactly what happened. Replays / highlights will probably show exactly what happened, if the camera caught it that is, hopefully we can see the direction of the spit.

It just seems the standard of refereeing in general is shocking, and as for this VAR system they're bringing in, what a farce that's going to be, and all because the refs are so incompetent

Some of their mistakes are so blatantly obvious it makes you wonder what they're looking at

Saiz was accused of spitting in the first game and Im guessing this was a way to get back at him and upset the Leeds team. Preplanned Im thinking as there is no evidence anywhere

Now seems obvious that new players will have to come in because no way can this group save TCs job by getting them into the play offs.

I thought they were just trying to get him out of the way as he'd lost it completely & most definitely looked ready to strike out. He's already shoved their biggest player in the chest in the melee.

Do you think it was Phillips who was at fault for the spit?

Noel Wheelan hit the nail on the head, no desire or fight in the team only beradi and possibly Phillips come out of that with any credit the rest are conning us and it is about time they were held to account. I asked a question last week who thought we'd maintain our position in the top 6 and must admit I was quite surprised by how many thought we could. I think this result is going to be the catalyst for the rest of our season and personally I don't think we'll finish in the top ten. And before anybody jumps on me about being negative I assure you it's not just today's game I've been to every game at home this season and a couple away and the simple truth is we are not good enough we just haven't got the mentality or quality throughout the squad. We're just hoping to scrape into the playoffs on the cheap and it's just not going to happen.(rant over)

Hope that TC will now realise we need a striker the boy from Peterboro and his mate Maddison for me along with the Brugge left back .Remember the lad from Peterboro who scored 2 was up against John Terry

<laugh> I just think Phillips should've at least got in the way before it landed on the Newport player's shirt

Bad defending that by Phillips

Depends which way you look at things from today. Like I said last week, the clock is ticking and things are coming to a head, so we get to see what Radz is all about earlier than later. I am disappointed that TC even gave CBJ a start today. Even though his intentions were to play a second string eleven, the players picked should still be showing something to warrant a start and it's pretty obvious this kid is just a waste of a squad number. It's disrespectful to our club and really grates me.

That’s lightened my mood no end and will take a lot of beating for post of the week! <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Newport deserved it, Ben is a bit pissed off but is now having a sleep in front of the fire. Being 50 and a Leeds fan means it is relatively easy to become a bit cest la vie about games and results like this. Cooking a roast and having a beer, usual Sunday service.

Overall, Berardi played well and delighted he got his goal. It was though a Berardi type game and certainly was no worldly!!

Sensible decisions now could trim our squad based on that and reinvest wisely. Not going to get my knickers in a knot if we don’t go up this year but want some rational thinking about signings like Grot, Cibicki, Klich & Lasogga.

Mike talks about the lad at Brentford they picked up for under 2 million (from Exeter??) and Henry. He is right, these are the types of signings we need to really study if we haven’t got the financial clout to outmuscle others.

Grot was supposed to be quick, he isn’t - what else has he got other than size? Truly awful. I was willing TC to bring on the lad Clarke that Doc raves about at half time because JRG was just like playing with ten. If Klich is “the penetrator” because of his defence splitting passing then I am Little Bo Peep. To be fair, I thought he was better than Phillips today but much of a muchness like O’Kane. We need to hang on to Viera because he is better than all of them but will Klich be the difference between mediocrity and good? Will he feck!

As many have said, send the Roofe lookalike back to Manchester, garbage and was it only me that thought Cibicki was diabolical? Worst player for me.

Enjoy the reamainder of your weekend :emoticon-0148-yes:
