Have to say a welcome win and a deserved one at that by all accounts. Good to hear Clark had a good game, and Evandro lasted 60 minutes and did well whilst on. Nice to hear Aina got the winning goal, hopefully will do his confidence some good. I've realised now the reason why we have been losing, on the predictions thread I always put City down for a win or draw, yesterday a predicted a loss and we win, so I know what to do in future.
He was like that at half time under the stand. He had a mate with him who took his own shirt off to join him. It's not a patch on Everton's Speedo Mick though. I thought Clarke played really well. Evandro looked like he could be vital to our survival. Marshall did well in the little that he had to do. Hector was very good in the first half. It was as if he'd stepped up and accepted responsibility for organising the defence. His major flaw was that some of his distribution was poor. It was good to see the full backs pushing on more than they did against Bolton. Blackburn were clearly from a lower league to us. It made me more confident for next year if we go down.
It wasn't their full side. It was weaker but not weak. They did look much more threatening when they brought Graham and Dack on. Thankfully Graham was as accurate as he was with us.
As you probably know I am working away at the moment so have not been at games, but from talking to my son and grandson who are going, he has improved defensively under Adkins, and getting a goal can only help his all round confidence IMO.
How did Evandro play? did he pick up any 2 week injuries? think if he can stay fit he will be a very important player for us in the second half of the season
Didn't got to the game but reports said he had some nice touches and we looked better with him on the pitch than without him. Taken off for fitness reasons I presume.
