Can’t say I have seen any of the three play but stats / pedigree look decent. 25 year old top level left back from Belgium and two exciting League One players ready to make a step up (sort of signings Brentford and Bournemouth have made over the last few years). Agree with you, this I would be happy with and see where it takes us with the only caveat being we don’t sell any of the first team to fund it. The only exception being Berardi, if the new LB is decent. There are rumours of interest from Swansea and it wouldn’t fuss me too much if he went.

Hope Doc is right about this kid Clarke. We have brought a few decent kids through in the last few years but wouldn’t it be wonderful to bring a forward through with an eye for goal??

I can't see any place for Lassoga in this Leeds squad.

Infidel the view we fans have of a player being fit or unfit is different from an ex pro striker like Noel Whelan. WJ heard him on the radio after last weeks game and said Lassoga is fit, hes a big unit and a big striker isnt like a small striker like Roofe who is more mobile. He laso said that Lassogas stats stood up with anyone in the division and would carry on scoring goals if he gets chances. Maybe we are used to seeing fast pacy wingers too much but think you'll find Wood is just as statuesque as Lassoga. Maybe we are being unfair

And maybe Whelan isn’t biting the hand that feeds him and is being overly positive...

Pennington has had a knock so not playing in this 4-4-2 lash-up. Is CBJ a CB or is Berardi playing with Nessy as a CB? Grot and Lassoga up top

Sorry if I sound a bit Gloryist, but that's a team IMO that I wouldn't be surprised got beaten. I realise that this competition isn't taken as seriously as it was, but I'm sick of being embarrassed by these lower league sides. I hope I'm proved wrong, but I'm not impressed by Grot, the German, Anita or that scum loanee. On a positive personal side, I've found BBC Wales through my old Sky dish for the match and I've some ale left<party>

Is that a 4-4-2 for us today? Phillips Klitch in the middle, Cibiki and Sacko wide

In regards to today's match.. In the league cup, we played a weakend side with the attitude the Championship is our priority. Agreed it is but personally I don't see why we shouldn't have gone for both and the defeat in the cup became part of a nasty run of defeats.

Today a defeat would become part of no wins in three, I'm always disappointed when I see us not really going for it, I do understand the "what if's" though, for example an injury to Saiz, but surely we could afford to play a slightly stronger team?

I don't understand us going for a 4-4-2 as it has nothing to prove, we don't play that formation in the league and if you were going to experiment today, you need more first teamers, at least more first team midfielders. (assuming that is how they are lining up).

Confirmed it is on Sky 978 BBC Wales

Heyup Doc, Noel Whelan is a hanger on, will say anything that people want to hear, but to be honest when I have listened to him he sounds or reminds me of the dick heads you hear in a pub and keep well away from.

+1 on this, he was never great for us and I don't understand why fans listen to him but when Redders speaks it is "sour grapes" I don't want to hear the opinions of either.

I agree with you on the whole Ristac. However, all of that team could say they have a claim to a first team side. We all know someone raves about Klich, well, here is a chance, in front of the cameras to show what he can do. Cibicki started great and went off the boil, another chance. I have heavily criticised Grot, prove me wrong Son, I would like nothing better. If Shaughnessy and CBJ are playing in the middle, Berardi can make the right back spot his with a blinding performance etc. If we lose, I don’t want to hear “but Hernandez, Saiz etc weren’t playing so it’s not fair to judge them”. It is, we are playing Newport County (no disrespect intended) & if these players are good enough, go ahead and prove it. Would give us a wonderful boost if these players lay down the gauntlet to TC with a big performance.

Tell you what, Whelan's right about this - Lasogga is not fat.

Might be slow but he's not fat.

Hope he gets at hat-trick. <ok><ok>
