If he does as well as CoD and Josh Brownhill then its a good signing. It certainly fits LJs transfer priority, young up and coming players.
One thing he needs to learn quick, we aren't known as Bristol with out the City!! Annoys the **** out of me!!
Spoke to a YTFC supporter earlier about this lad, he reckons we have a gem. He mentioned a Billy Bremner 'type'. If he's half correct we have a great signing.
In goal, 5foot nothing, should be ideal. Seriously, in midfield but let's wait and see. Glad we're strengthening the squad, we don't half need reinforcements. What's the problem if he's better than what we have already.
Time will tell, but I’m encouraged by the fact that the Everton fans seem rather upset. https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/everton-youth-teams-thread.59260/page-1049
Let's see if this stays up. Just talking football here guys - no pack drill. Despite the plaudits, wouldn't go over the top on this one. He may be a good prospect from the Everton Academy but experience has shown that out in the real world that Everton graduates can stumble. We had two from Everton a couple of years back who were supposed to be the next great things - Conor McAleny and Matty Kennedy. McAleny flattered to deceive and after a variety on lower league loans he's now at Fleetwood in League 1. Matty Kennedy was a bit better and he's still on our books but out on loan at Portsmouth where his form is very patchy - no consistency. Hope Walsh is better than those two but I suppose only time will tell.
I must be honest, I have never heard of those 2 you mention. Lots of youngsters out of Premiership academies are touted as the next best thing but rarely are.
Be interesting too see if he gets game time,I think initially he will come of the bench. But we need some quick returns from injury’s,or some arrivals soon, otherwise the fantastic first half of the season will all be wasted. Going to be interesting too see how badly the club wants promotion over the next couple of weeks. Interesting times ahead.
