only if they magically find 11 players taller than 5' 6" and play them

Shawcross and crouch will be delighted.

    Shaqiri not so much

Marco Silva: Watford blame Everton as they sack manager

Watford have sacked manager Marco Silva, blaming Everton's approach for the Portuguese in November as the "catalyst for this decision".

The Hornets have won one of their last 11 top-flight games and are 10th in the Premier League.

A Watford statement said they were "convinced the appointment of Silva" last summer "was the right one".

And, without "the unwarranted approach" they would have "continued to prosper under his leadership".

The statement added: "This has been a difficult decision and one not taken lightly.

"The catalyst for this decision is that unwarranted approach, something which the board believes has seen a significant deterioration in both focus and results to the point where the long-term future of Watford has been jeopardised."

The Hornets were beaten 2-0 by Leicester City on Saturday to leave them five points above the relegation zone.

Prior to Everton's approach for Silva, Watford had won four, drawn three and lost four from 11 league games.

Since then the Vicarage Road club has won three, drawn two and lost eight of 13 top-flight outings.

Amazing how we went from looking at the flavour of the month and were willing to pay £10m for him.

To almost being safe under sam the fraud.

Considering he's managed just 3pts in six games (I think?), credit must be given to the other teams for out ****ting you

Lets be honest, you are desperate for other teams to beat Spurs for you so your points count for something

I assume that's a generalisation rather than aimed at just me?

Second is ours to lose and I don't give a **** what other teams do; earn the right rather than be granted it.

    lets see:

silva watford (replaced by Javi Gracia, very average coaching career)
hughes stoke (replaced with paul lambert)
clement swansea (replaced by Carlos Carvalhal)
    pulis wba (replaced by pardew)
bilic west ham (replaced by Moyes)
    koeman everton (replaced by allardyce)
    shakespeare leicester (replaced by Puel)
de boer palace (replaced by Hodgson)

8 men down this season so far? How many more are going before the end?

    Pelligrino.... has to be next...
    Rafa? might walk tbh
Hughton at brighton? unlikely but it could happen

    surely nobody else? (this year)

Will any of the new appointees go by may? coudl happen.

not its not... its ours to compete for right now... nothing more.

I think it'd be a battle royale for 2nd with utd. I actually half think chelsea have a few issues and HOPEFULLY might trail off a bit.

I would be half thinking about 3rd as a goal and 2nd as a stretch goal if we can set ourselves up for it this month.

As of today we are not dragging our sorry arses towards the finihs line like last year and have FA cup, CL and league to look forward to for this part of the season.

I think this time last year our season was all but over.

If we win all our games.....

    in short no.

If we win all our games and Utd win all their games they would be 3 points ahead of us <ok>

If we win all our games we could do Chelsea on GD for 3rd and would be assured of 4th. If we score more goals than cheslea

with 15 to go theres a lot that can happen so we are competing for 2nd, not ours to lose... not in our hands <ok>

maybe in the summer or after 5 games next year.

Oh they might lose the cl early and end up 3rd but if he wants his psg move he will need to maneuver spectacularly.
