I’m Going to hold on to the late first half when twice in a row he was outjumped in the air. Unsurprisingly the commentators didn’t comment on that.
I didn't think he played that well. Didnt look fit. But he got the winning goal which instantly means he was outstanding. I've seen him play a lot better for Saints (albeit before he got injured).
Couldn't agree more. He was just like that when he made his debut for us just 2 years ago. 13m. Bargain
I must admit I thought that they even included the amounts for semi and final! But less than 3000 for each team in a 45,000 seater is a farce imo... Apparently the finalists - 81k capacity - will only get just over 5k each I expect we'll fill 2/3 of the ground each game we play anyway but it's besides the point really and just provides more opportunity for touts.
Well done Anthony Taylor. Really wish more referees would give red cards for that. Not a dangerous or nasty foul by Fer, but absolutely zero intent to play the ball. Was just about cynically stopping the player from breaking, with the aid of a little hack.
Yeah but is there anything in the laws that let's him do it? As Upson said it's really annoying to see but can he really justify it. We see those fouls all the time, probably 2 or 3 every game. Ok, maybe not as blatant as that but still the same intent and result.
Relatively straight forward second save by Hart, but Shrewsbury have got to be scoring the first one.
Like I said to Brendy, I reckon he got sent off for serious foul play or even violent conduct. He kicked him. If he had pulled him back it would have been yellow, the referee wouldn't have any option there. But the fact he kicked him gave the referee the leeway to show a red.
