Quite a fair report - http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...fa-cup-third-round-match-report-a8145851.html Most of the others say Chelski were 'off colour' or similar.
EASILY the best all-round display I've witnessed this season. COULD we be witnessing the beginning of a turnaround - our game against the Robins will be an excellent test next Saturday, as they are on a losing streak just now and have conceded 8 goals and drawn a blank in their last 2 away games.
I might go to Sheffield United now . I'm usually a massive jinx but so far I haven't been to a losing game this season
I was very impressed throughout. The defense was solid and well organised, Tettey and Trybull linked well with both WBs both defending and going forward. Lewis looks the real deal and could make a big difference for the rest of the season. The 3 up front posed problems but Murphy's angled shot was the closest we came. This makes 4 games unbeaten and should provide a big injection of confidence at Bristol next week. Arsenal was obviously no fluke but we do need to sign a third striker.
Another really good player I'd like us to aim for. Would still rather Ashley Hunter. But the same kind of signing.
Ashley Hunter has scored 3 Goals for Fleetwood Jack Marriott has 23 goals gor Peterborough they are 22 and 23 years old and both play in League 1. Scoring 2 against Villa proves he can score at a higher level.
I’m going corporate to that one, got my company’s top of the terrace tickets. Nice bit of nosebag and free beers then will watch the game behind the glass in the warm
Having just watched MotD, I think we should try to sign Marriott, as that could be our 'way' forward!! <getscooatemoji>
Enjoyed that. As others have said a good performance. For me it was good to see them sticking to a formation, which worked well. Just that obvious striker issue to resolve. Thought Tettey was very good and all the defence also. Front 3 did well and Murphy has uped his game over the last few matches. It will be interesting to see who will come and go over over the next few weeks but strikers are essential. Some lower league players as identified in threads above might be worth a punt. But I see this morning we are in for a winger from Killmarnock!
Another transfer window and another clamber for midfielders to buy and send out on loan or sit on the bench. It would not surprise me if we sell Oliviera and get left with just 1 striker for the rest of the season after putting a few derisory bids in before the window slams shut.
What's the point of signing wide men (Jordan Jones) who never get a game? We already have £7m Wildschut who these days has to settle for a watching brief only? This team needs a goalscorer, not more bench-warmers
