The money we are getting for Coutinho is insane. Think of the players like Sane, DeBruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Ozil, Morata, Pogba and we got offerred 2 or 3 times their price. There is no way any sane business owner would have turned down that offer. Especially when we ourselves had to fork out £75m for a defender.

So, are you implying that the £75m for Virgil came out of the Couthinho fee? I think if you are you are underestimating the dosh our owners generate, not as much as those at City, Utd, Chelsea but enough to buy without selling(if they want to), we knew PC was going but had every right to expect FSG(who had the upper hand)to dictate the price, demand all of the fee up front and to tell Barca he can leave in the summer and not before.
