What a **** analogy, our commentaries will either come from Viking it RH, do we go with the one a handful don’t like and is accessible by everyone, or the one that is universally hated and only accessible by people with a DAB radio?
I’ve heard people put forward that argument but, personally speaking, I’d like to know I’m going with 3 months left to live rather than go out one day and never come back. I can feel a new thread coming on...
Or do we get good, professional people with an interest in their actual jobs that they’re paid to do on a platform that is accessible by everyone? Radical as ****, I know.
A handful don't like. There's been complaints for years on here about burns and swan. It's only since the Allams switched to Viking they've turned into the greatest broadcasters ever.
Decent performance and the scoreline flattered Blackburn. Also thanks to Skybet my petrol and ticket all paid for today
Anyway, what's wrong with being run over by a bus? https://www.theguardian.com/global/...-bus-in-reading-survives-without-injury-video
Nobody’s claimed that they’re the greatest broadcasters ever charon, just that they’re far better than the alternative.
The Tigers made it through to the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup with a 1-0 victory over League One side Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Saturday. Ola Aina’s goal, the first of his senior career, was enough to send Nigel Adkins’ side through and inflict Blackburn’s first defeat since mid-October. Adkins made four changes to his side as David Marshall, Max Clark, Evandro and Adama Diomande were all handed starts with Allan McGregor, Michael Dawson, Jackson Irvine and Nouha Dicko making way. Marshall captained the side on his first appearances of the season. McGregor, Irvine and Dicko featured on a bench which also included David Meyler on his return from injury, whilst there was a place for young winger Tyler Hamilton too. Former Tiger Corry Evans started for Rovers, with Danny Graham amongst the substitutes. The home side created the first chance of the afternoon with Craig Conway curling a shot over the bar in the second minute before Paul Caddis fired a shot against Marshall’s crossbar with 11 minutes gone. Aina and Jon Toral, the Tigers’ right-sided combination, both picked up knocks early on but were able to run them off before Michael Hector brought a save out of Rovers’ goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler with a header from Toral’s corner. Diomande saw a low effort blocked as the away side began to look more threatening with Jarrod Bowen dragging a low shot wide after some promising work on the edge of the Blackburn box. Derrick Williams and Willem Tomlinson were both booked for Rovers following challenges on Diomande and Evandro respectively as what had become a scrappy first half came to an end. There was little to write about in the early stages of the second half….until the Tigers took a 58th-minute lead. Good work from Aina earned a corner, and the right back got himself into the box to head home from Toral’s delivery. Another Toral corner almost brought another goal moments later, a far-post delivery being headed into the side-netting by Bowen. Rovers threw on Graham and Bradley Dack in response and the double change livened the home side up with Marshall making his first save of the game from Conway’s 18-yard drive. Graham had a chance to level after some sloppy play from the visitors allowed the striker to be played through on goal, but he lifted his shot over the bar. The Tigers had made all three substitutions by the time the game entered the final ten minutes as Irvine, Fraizer Campbell and Meyler came on for Evandro, Diomande and Kevin Stewart, with Bowen flashing a shot just wide of the far post as he looked to kill the game off. Toral saw an effort ruled out for offside before Clark made sure there was no late disappointment with a vital block from Conway in the final moments.
I haven't listened to Burns/Swanny that much but Burnsy does seem to just about keep up with the game while Swanny is the passive observer and doesn't have much to say for himself. And to be fair to them both some of City's games must have been a bit hard to dress up over the years, silk purses and sows ears and all that.
