Nearly 5000 Saints fans travelling to Fulham tomorrow.

Great effort that considering how **** we've been this season and with something like one win in 14 <applause>

Very surprised not to have had the call from my father-in-law to say that he needs a room for the night after the match.

Hardly ever but Fulham is an easy trip for him and not far from us. I've been to watch Saints at Craven Cottage. It was a **** game.

Great little ground at Craven Cottage. Proper old school. Very polite fans there. They will applaud the opposition if they play well <laugh>

It's a nice ground, old fashioned. Ridiculously middle class.

Sat with the home fans one year and Ronaldo scored a late, late winner in a match we deserved to lose. The tourist next to me who had provided a running commentary in Mandarin (or similar) throughout the match jumped up and celebrated like we'd won the European Cup. Anywhere else and he would have been chewed to pieces. The locals seemed to make do with a collective cry of "oh bother".

Mate, think of a Chelsea fan and then imagine the exact opposite of that who supports a team a couple of miles down the river. Fulham fans are Guardian writers, Restaurant owners and Property Lawyers (real ones). They will probably clap politely at you lot just turning up.

Also you'll be able to take your pick of posh riverside pubs in the area, packed to the rafters with posh totty types called Jemima and Isabella. :)

Have we decided which thread we are supposed to be posting on?

Been watching the match but don't know where to post so just kept my thoughts to myself...I felt it was the right thing to do

You're a better supported club for a start and you don't really get 5k allocation in the PL.

Always took the smaller one down here too.

I’m concerned about us if we don’t take it seriously, has banana skin all over it. For me, no point playing players like Musa and Benelouane who the club are trying to offload. Mostly first teamers (or like at your place) with some youngsters if anything.
Cov could be an upset given how dire Stoke are and they will be resting players for the league.
Sheff weds have a spanking awaiting in the Derby again on Friday so again, will probably rotate heavily and are in bad form.
I expect West Ham to overcome Shrewsbury with ease

How many upsets do you all think will happen?

    I say 2

Wigan to beat Bournemouth and Coventry to beat Stoke

Already been one with Liverpool <whistle>
But you normally get a couple of outright alike you say but also a few more than get draws and get beaten in replays

Exeter v West Brom has potential given how dire West Brom are and Exeter have recent history in this cup.

I’d also fancy Luton against Newcastle but more so if it was at Luton as I’ve seen that they’ve hit about 4 7/8 goals in games this season! Might fancy that for a draw

I’d definitely consider Milton Keynes if you’re looking for upsets. We last won an FA cup tie without a replay in 1997- the game Trevor Sinclair scored his overhead kick- and have only won about four at all in that time. Also expect Holloway to play the reserves.

Do you think he’s got a eye over his shoulder at the bottom 3 then? With all respect, looking at the table, I don’t expect you to trouble the top 6 (not this season anyway) so the 6 point gap to the bottom 3 must be why as otherwise, have a go like
What I mean btw is that I doubt you’ll get sucked into that so he should rest too much

Yes, very much so. Before Cardiff the other day we’d won one in ten. We have Burton on Saturday which is massive.

Fair enough :emoticon-0148-yes: you should have enough to get past MK at home as well. Maybe then by the next round the league position is looking comfortable. Every year we’ve been not focusing on the cup because we were going for promotion then trying to stay up, then shock title charge then last year were in a slump again. This year, with enough space between us and the bottom 3 but not going to crack the top 6, I want us to just go for it
