You get what you pay for. Good debut for VvD, already bossing our limp wristed keeper, winning goal and winning everything in air.

You get what you pay for. Juve paying nothing for a nothing player. Can't wait to get rid of Can.

Good game overall! Amazed Holgate didn't even get a yellow for that shove in the first half, I can only imagine Firmino's reaction which needed the ref to intervene influenced his 'just play on' decision. Definite booking though.

Our midfield was ****e apart from Milner. Thought he worked his arse off, just a shame he's limited attacking wise. This only shows how much we miss and will miss Coutinho. Badly need a creative upgrade; Keita isn't that kind of player (as good as he is) and Lallana has many qualities but isn't close to that type of player either. At least he tried though whereas Can...

CB's looked solid. Highlight for me was watching VVD's goal and how strong, calm and confident he was whilst Matip floundered and looked awkward and weak as he missed it completely. Different class. Good performance defensively.

Penalty which the BBC 'pundits' claimed wasn't a penality was at least more justified than the 'nailed on' penalty C.L had the other time which was at least shoulder to shoulder - even if it was C.L who ran into Lovren and away from the ball <doh> Useless twats.

Karius looked dodgy again...not promising at all. When is it Ward's turn?

    Fair result.

Jürgen Klopp: "It was a soft penalty. It was exactly like the last one (given against Lovren in the previous derby). I thought that both decisions weren't penalties but everyone told me after the first one that it was a penalty, so I learnt this."

    Great result.

Vvd looked very assured calm calm and won everything in the air. Should have scored earlier but late winners are always nice!

how Holgate didn’t get at least a yellow is beyond me for that push. When we see players get a Yellow for tiny tug we’ll that was dangering not only the player but also the crowd. Firms reaction was justified, didn’t go over the top just stood up for himself.

Everton player quite well today, much better than previous game. Bolasie made a big difference.

    Get in!! Beat those ****s.

My heart wants to give VVD MOTM but my head will give it to Robbo.

Focusing on VVD, he seems to bring confidence and composure. The best way to describe him is that he makes it looks so easy. He pretty much bossed everything that came his way. Now he needs quality next to him as I still have concerns over Matip.

A nice surprise for me is Ox’s set pieces. Another assist for him.

Unfortunately, I can’t not comment on our midfield. This is why we need Coutinho in one of those CM spaces because there is no control whatsoever. Can isn’t technical, he’s a brute who can bully people off the ball and just lay it to someone nearby. Milner is just a yard dog. Offers little other than work rate and Lallana is supposedly the closest to Coutinho but is nowhere near his level (to be fair, he’s been out for a while and it will take a while for him to get back to his usual level - which is still not good enough).

If Coutinho is gone, then we badly need Lemar in to give us that creativity and ability to dribble past players.

I thought Everton played decently and deserved a draw at least. Our midfield really let us down.

And what a great penalty to win - it was more clear cut than the one we conceded against Everton last time but it is a pen and it is soft. Love it!!

Ox's set pieces were great, other than the corner than led to their goal, it was Aspas esque.

I’d be surprised if we didn’t get Lemar once Coutinho goes

Klopp says penalty was exactly the same as last game. "You all said if the hand is there, it's a penalty. I don't think both situations are penalties, but you all told me it was so I learned that!"

Admit it, you're as bitterly disappointed that we never got knocked out as you were happy when the blueshite got a draw a few weeks ago.
Otherwise you'd be all over Allardyce whinging tonight after telling Klopp he was "a moaner" a few weeks ago.

A penalty is a penalty if the ref says so.:emoticon-0100-smile

I have this to say: Coutinho would never have scored a header like that.
