They’re mostly skin and bone now. Can’t imagine bench pressing them will achieve much.

    Here you are @Tel

It’s got a bench press, pec deck, pulley pull down thing and a leg curl. <ok>

Not something I'd personally go out and buy but it's not really about what you use it's more how you use it.

Everything is about intensity for me, paying attention to eccentric contraction as much as an explosive concentric.

Theres not a lot of variation you can do without db's so my advice would be some German Volume Training, high intensity and short rest periods.

GVT is very effective, there's millions of plans online for it.

Failing that go on a bike ride with Piskie!

If db’s you mean bar bells I’ve got some of those too. Not with big weights mind.

    Dumb bells <ok>

There's hundreds of things you can do with dbs and a bench, they don't need to be heavy esp for GVT or poliquin type training. Technique is easy to perfect nowadays as well with all of these experts on YouToob.

    Ffs tel.

Just give me a routine. Else I may kick you in the poliquins and squeeze your GVT’s.

Got a silly one club and a putter comp tomorrow. I'm going five iron.

Seems a waste given the weather but it'll be lush to be out out in the sun, on the coast, with **** all pressure.

Not sure it's that many calories mind, and our course is borderline mountainous!

Then again, I tend to have pint and food after so that's taken care of staight away.

Half way through a fine bottle of Merlot. Will have to finish the ****er.

Don’t remember it being hilly. Sits on top of a rock but fairly flat. Your new watch will tell you. Especially if you’re carry your sticks now.

Flat? You must have been hungover or something. It crosses a valley three times. Fairly steep in a couple of places.

I still find it hard to believe a round uses that many calories but it's a six mile undulating walk so maybe it does.

Genuinely don’t remember blowing my lungs walking it. Though you are correct we/ I was hungover when we played it.

Be interesting the data you get from your new watch.

7's usually an easier option mate. 5 gives you less height just when you need it.

Seven won't give me the distance on the park 3's.
Am considering a six, been mulling that or the five over.

It's loads of steps and, as the GPS will be on, it'll also map out exactly where I walk and how far.

I should have done a trolley/carry comparison. Wouldn't be surprised if pushing adds quarter mile.

I don't know your course mate. You'll know better.

    7 gives you loft. As does a 6. A 5 less so.

    Good luck mate.

Think I'll go six. Your fault if I **** up!

I reckon I'll get on all of our par fives with 3 six irons.
Not sure I will all the par 4's with two though, hence the five iron.

Depends on your handicap though. And you gotta use it to your advantage and strengths.

You take your 5 mate, you know better.

I didn't mean to sow doubt in your mind.

You must be playing a long course.

    Good luck mate.

Let us know how how get on.

I'd want some loft though..... <whistle>
