    It's believed (mainly by Colchester's tourist board) that one of the cannons used during the 1648 siege of the town was named Humpty Dumpty.

    The old romantic in me likes to think it's true.

    And me too, sir. Don´t really sure how true it is though. It is the same as "Ring a ring o´ Roses" supposed to be about the plague, but probably not at all, admittedly that isn´t quite as romantic!
