Playmaker, dropped deep, pulling the strings. Maybe get someone else to do the running.

Maybe Alfie Jones is going to play.

 

I liked the look of him when he played RB I a couple of games I saw, season before last.

 

Definitely worth a go from what I've seen and he seems to have a cool head on him.

 

Really need to give the kids a chance here. Not just for their development: we need to see whether some of them might be ready to contribute, because we may well need them.

 

I'd go along with that. I really, really want us to win though. I'm beginning to forget what that feels like.

 

Doesn't need to be all kids. But Jones, Valery and Hesketh aren't just prospects, they're players at positions of need right now. Really need a look in; a lineup primarily comprised of seasoned vets against Wolves didn't exactly set the world alight, and a lot of our first team is liable to be pretty tired now, as well.

Lawrenson has us lose 2-1.....he's had us to win recently and got it wrong so perhaps this will work.

Gus...never heard of him, but he has us down to win 2-0 so presumably he hasn't heard of us either.

I remember a conversation toward the start of the season when someone said they’d prefer a relegation scrap to mid-table mediocrity, and I thought they were mental. But now it’s happening, I realise that that person was actually right. Some of the gallows humour on here this week has been great

 

Nope....I would rather be snoozing mid-table anytime. Love to be moaning that we look like missing out on Champions' League again and discussing whether being in the Europa is worth it.

 

Who wouldn't want a relegation scrap to liven up the 2nd half of winter? Something to take our minds off Trump, Brexit, the disintegration of the NHS, global warming, and robots warming up to put 90% of the population on the dole..

 

Is it going to be a battle though or are we just going to surrender as it looks like.

 

We won't surrender. The Spurs game aside, we haven't really done that at all this season. We've got beat, and thrown away leads, because we don't score enough goals and we don't defend well enough. There was no lack of effort and no rolling over on Tuesday, though we should definitely not have started to sit back and defend a 1-0 lead.

The fans surrender pretty much every time we concede, but the players haven't done so far.

 

Not really talking about the players but the club management.

 

Just a feeling. I think Pellegrino is gone, if we win or lose at Fulham. He's only in place, until the new man comes in. I really hope I am right.

 

We can but hope.

 

Well if they’re they only two things wrong, I’m relaxed. We’ll be fine!
