Good news is, there is a Leeds Utd branch there. https://throughitalltogether.sbnati...00/all-together-the-fuerteventura-branch-lusc
Too windy and too hot in the height of summer. Northern Ibiza ( Portinatx) or more likely Marbs/ Puerto Banks / or Estepona.
Howya Ell,glad to hear your out of hospital, Beer at 22cents a tinnie here, was 20c today and sunny,I can see glorys thinking.
I see all you followers of the BIG club are already preparing your bolt-holes for the end of the season. Millwall's maybe Germany, but at least the jerries are a lot closer.
A Marmite article, which I personally like for being so matter of fact: http://www.ihateleeds.com/2018/leeds-goalkeeper-has-2nd-highest-clean-sheets-record/
I’m sure it will be marmite! The weirdest thing for me is I’m sure it will be marmite! The weirdest thing for me is the ridiculous levels his supporters go to to justify his performances. I actually thought he played well against forest... little to do but did it solidly... pushing/ punching crosses/corners away from goal. But people were raving about him. He tipped a shot that was going over anyway over the bar and saved a shot straight at him. He was faultless. But you’d think he’d pulled off a string of worldies. He’s been a liability for much of this season, multiple errors, flapping at crosses, knocking shots back into the danger zone. That’s the reality. Green made a couple of clangers early on, and had a bad game away at Brighton I recall when the whole team capitulated... that’s about it. Facts say clean sheets, Eye test says any keeper above schoolboy level would have kept those clean sheets in those games. Like I said... looked better of late ( if you turn a blind eye to the QPR howler and Birmingham gaffe!) And much improved v forest... let’s hope it’s a trend because it needs to be.
There's an element of truth in what you say, Milky, re, the over-hype. I'm possibly in that boat, & i like to think I'm doing it from an almost avuncular position, in the hope that he might read some of the more (over?) positive comments about him t balance the sometimes poisonous & unfounded abuse he's faced. Yes, he's made howlers. No-one's denying this. But I think it's been over-hyped. I don't think there have been as many howlers as most suggest. Look at Lonners - he made Felix look outstanding with the howlers he made, and we don't see much abuse going his way. I like the comparison with the problems De Gea faced at first. There's a lot of truth in that. As for Green, you're clearly suffering from acute memory loss. Green was awful for a long time last season, and took months to settle down. Yes, he commanded his area & he made great saves - but that was about it. Usually it was a hoof up the middle, then wait on a cavalry charge coming right back at us. Rarely see that these days. There were quite a number of howlers, & criticism to match the Weidwald criticism. Didn't he also have a howler against Newport in his only game this season? Have a vague recollection of him letting in 4 in Austria too. Anyhow, onward & upwards. Hope he's had his major blip & the future looks bright. Fingers crossed.
Hopefully the Forest performance will give him confidence, and open his eyes to where he was going wrong in past.....
