While making Hazard MOTM, BBC website describes the penalty incident as:
'Hazard, with another effervescent display, scored the equaliser from the spot after Bellerin caught his foot with his studs.'
Omitting the fact that any contact was at the very most, ephemeral and elicited a response from Hazard that suggested bisection of his tibia without anaesthetic!!

Narratives are alive and well in the BBC!

As far as I understand the rules a studs up challenge is dangerous play but ANY contact makes it a direct free kick or a penalty. So Hazard was not guilty of simulating a foul. However it is also an offence to simulate an injury so perhaps the correct decision would be a penalty and a yellow card for Hazard.....

I would honestly not want Hazard even on a free, even if he halved his wages. It's nothing about ability it's about character. I don't want people like that at my club. He doesn't get half the flak he deserves for his attitude. A few years ago he gets player of the season, the one after that he effectively doesn't bother until the manager is sacked. That's not to mention the diving. All in all a proper **** of a player. Would anyone want him at Spurs? Surely it's a case of putting (potential) ability above everything else - something I'm not prepared to do.

His first connection to Spurs was during the 2011-12
season, when the hack talk was of him in wage slut mode
quoted as saying Spurs were a club he would be
interested in playing for (when CL was still on - the Arry
second third PL collapse was not yet in full flow) .

He seems the kind of player who would have done a
Willian on Spurs even if we had qualified for the CL.

Like Costa, IMHO Chelsky is the true "soulmate" club
for Hazard.

<applause> to Chelsky for seeing the big(ger) picture re their
PL top 4 ambitions this season (and leaving the result
as a draw)

Although I agree with what you're saying, games like this aren't what determines who finishes in the top 4 and who doesn't. If we don't get in the top 4 (and I also do not think we will), it is the results against West Ham, West Brom, Stoke and Watford that have cost us ever so dearly. These are the types of matches I will look to to explain why we didn't make the top 4; not matches against City, United, Liverpool or Chelsea.
I think you're missing the point. Results have been poor against the leading sides because there are weaknesses which they consistently exploit.
Those weaknesses are still present against the lesser teams, albeit they take advantage less often.
These weaknesses continue to be overlooked by Wenger and as a result, you're no longer title contenders and more recently, are even struggling to compete for top 4.
It's all very well pundits saying Arsenal games against the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea make great viewing, but that's because Arsenal make so many mistakes leading to goals that any brilliance at the other end is always undermined.
Wouldn't you sooner have the "1-0 to the Arsenal" reputation back?

The BBC have awarded this statue the 'Worst Sporting Statue of 2017'. It's hard to disagree. It's a belter.
