Why is there an assumption that this is being done with Klopp's blessing? If true, is he ****ing insane? Are we really admitting that our best option is to get rid (with doubtless never-never payments and add-ons instead of cash), then rush in Lemar? A cup-tied, injury-prone, younger version of Andros Townsend, Lemar, until the end of the season? I'd rather keep Coutinho in the stands, unless the deal is for the summer. Totally illogical by Klopp and/or FSG.
Who knows what the plan is, or what will transpire. It may not be Lemar on the radar? Mad stuff, we don't need the possible disruption
Hardly his "blessing", but perhaps there comes a time when you can't be a complete Cnut and instruct the tide of events to hold back. If he's resigned to it then he might as well put a brave face on and just get on with his job with the players he does have, and not let this saga distract him completely. Same for the rest of us. Imo, Coutinho owes it to the club that made him to see out the season, but I've long since abandoned the expectation of integrity from footballers.
Liverpool linked with shock move for Arsenal star as Coutinho replacement As per a report from Spanish outlet Don Balon, Liverpool will make a move for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez this month, if Philippe Coutinho completes his long-anticipated move to Barcelona.
I may be wrong but I look at how fast we closed the VVD deal and from that I can only assume Barca have yet to contact Liverpool. The fact that Coutinho played the last game of 2017 unlike VVD who was wrapped in wool by Saints tells me all that is happening is Barca testing the waters I believe they have met with Coutinho's reps but have yet to master the courage to table a bid hence the silence from the club. The facts are simple as we do not need to sell and the player has been very professional on the field. The speculation will go on until the window closes afterwhich there will probably be an announcement that we have come to an arrangement for him to leave at the end of the season. I may be wrong tho
The same can be said from the other side too though. Clubs don't do what is right, or best, for their players. Everyone on both levels are looking out for themselves. Clubs aren't going to do players any favours.
Let's just wait and ****ing see. I'm heartily pissed off with the speculation. Is Salah out for tomorrow as well?
