I'm shocked and stunned. After Robinson recently telling us we'd "have a right go" at the transfer market in January, I was bubbling with expectation about the quality players Roland would buy to strengthen the squad. I can only assume that, as Robinson told us earlier, clubs raise their asking price when they hear that a club as big as Charlton is interested. He also told us that referees are conspiring against us because we're such a big club, so maybe he's asked them nicely to stop this conspiracy, and they've agreed. Poor Karl- who could possibly have predicted that Roland wouldn't buy anyone in January, it must have come like a bolt from the blue.

100% right. If Karl Robinson has any self respect he should walk away after the window closes - and explain exactly why. If getting his pay-off and having a clean CV matters more to him than the way he is being hung out to dry now, then he is nothing more than I always suspected: a regime stooge who has been lying to fans all along about how much he loves them.

Robinson is playing a disingenuous game here. Regardless of the takeover he knew full well he wasn’t getting funds in January. Why did he go public on the Leon Best fiasco ? Saying you have 6 players lined up is taking the p1ss. It’s a bit like going into the Aston Martin showroom when you are on JSA.

There was no takeover imminent last January and no CARD protests. Yet Duchatelet still stripped £11,750,000 out of the Club by selling Lookman and Fox.
I am sure that Robinson wants to get us promoted and he has six players lined up. But you are naive in the extreme Karl if you think that RD will give you the funds pre or post Takeover to bring those players in. The regime are liars, if they told me the sky was blue I would ask for a second opinion. I have changed my opinion on Robinson and I am coming round to Lardiman's and others description of him. I think that Robinson's time at Charlton has become untenable.
