Once upon a time a true believer in a particular football club which had taken him to their hearts and had therefore done noble deeds for that club had the happy luck of being in a position to take it over and help. The club in days of old had been majestic, imperious, invincible. He wanted the club to go back to those days. Fans wanted it too. A lot of them could remember the golden year of 1973, when maybe, just maybe, things would go back to normal. It didn't happen. Years of famine and pestilence followed. Some false hope, never a new dawn. Anyway, our hero found a fairy godfather with loads of money to bring back the fabulous castle. Keane the red imp tried really hard but failed - bravely. Then they brought in Steve Bruce. Oh dear. Money gone. No talent. Back to worse than square one.
