I'm not being negative but on these stats he is way down on the performance scale, is he worth the money, is this another Gustav Engvall type gamble? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/championship/top-scorers
Engval may have been a flop so far , however is young and war still may turn it around , even if he doesn't and we sale him for a loss, he didn't cost anywhere near £10m , I hope , and think , this is an unfounded rumour as for that amount of money ide want someone with a much better record.
With regard to Engval, I was not knocking him, I don't doubt he has quality and hope he does come good, he in fact cost us nearer £1m mark from what I have read, my question was more we might be taking a gamble with spending £10m on Hugill at that very high price.
Cheers mate, after all the hassle I have been involved with lately over Johnson Jnr and the Welsh Windbag I think I'm losing my marbles.
Sorry about that monotonous waffle above but to carry on ~ Lee Johnson would be foolish to offload this Bristol City man amid Championship interest please log in to view this image League leaders Wolves reportedly plotting a bid for Bristol City midfielder Marlon Pack, with Derby and Reading also rumoured to be interested in the 26-year-old. He only has one goal this season but has played in every league match for which he has been available as Lee Johnson’s side have stunned many pundits to go within two points and two places of automatic promotion. Pack is not the most talented midfielder in the Championship but he is vital to the Robins for two reasons. The first is that Johnson’s men are an incredibly tight knit unit, with great team spirit, where the collective is stronger than the individual. The flipside of that is any loss to that group is going to have a larger impact than it would at other clubs – so it is vital that Johnson keeps his core group together. Secondly, if Bristol City keep hold of Pack, convincing him to stay and that he has just as much chance of promotion at Ashton Gate as he does anywhere in the division, it would send out a message to the rest of the league. That message is that they are serious contenders for the Premier League. This is not just a hot streak, they are a club with genuine Premier League aspirations and the players have bought into that. It would ease fans’ fears that other players, such as Bobby Reid, might have their heads turned by potential suitors and also make them believe that they support a club that is destined for the top flight. Bristol City have as good a chance as anyone of getting promoted and keeping Pack would make that statement loud and clear to the rest of the league. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/l...-bristol-city-man-amid-championship-interest/
No mention of a transfer fee, ultimately that will decide if he stays or goes. We have just signed another CM, what will that do to Marlons mindset and thinking? He is a big personality in the dressing room and there is potential upset if he leaves, he's very tight with Flinty for example, and it could trigger an exodus. For me anything over £2M and we should accept it.
Marlon Pack is a way better player than most give him credit for. he gets slated because some times his high risk passes get intercepted. He never gets the full credit when he puts players in on one on ones though.
Do you now what. you may be right! Personally I never saw it myself. Footballs a funny game isn't it.
with the new lad from Everton coming in, LOOKS LIKE PATH for Pack to go is open! thanks for putting up paper leads Wiz don't get that much time to sift the media at the moment got my exped report to write up and last booklet to finish off!
