I don't think the board can sack him after Ralph's last statement, so I'll settle for a win. I don't think there is a viable replacement out there anyway, bearing in mind we shop at Lidl

The next poll will presumably be, "Are you in favour of just cutting off your nose on a whim, or would you prefer to do it to spite your face."<doh>

I voted Saints win, not because I dislike MP2, I just don't think he's very good at his job which has been to the detriment of my club.
If you were to do this poll for every game, I would always vote saints win and thusly there would be no problem because we'd always be winning and MP2 would therefore be doing a good job. Unfortunately, I can't actually just pick Saints to win. They need to do it themselves, and I don't see that happening consistently enough to get us out of trouble with MP2 in charge.
So therefore I hope Saints win and MP2 is sacked before the game even happens.

No. Sorry. I voted out at the time of the last poll, reluctantly because if pushed to go one way or the other, my gut said he wasn’t good enough. It hasn’t got any better I know and I think he’s wrong for us, but I’m not voting for us to lose. I’m soft I know.

Not sure where you're going with this Channon? Are you suggesting that the sacking of MP2 would be counterproductive and on a whim? That would be......quite wrong.

It's just a silly poll. Don't worry. I was just interested in the psychology of the fan - whether we blindly stick by loyalty and want to win, or whether we are prepared at this stage to take one on the chin because that's how worried we are about the manager. No need to take it too seriously....

I'd be more likely to accept it in a league game than a Cup game... no second chances with cup games.

It’s horrible but it’s what I’ve been thinking after every defeat for the past month. Wins paper over cracks. We all know he is a poor manager.

Where I stand, wishing to lose a game of football in order to destabilise the team and precipitate the demise of our current manager is a strange wish. I want us to win the next game, and the following one, and so on. In case you haven't noticed, we are not eight points from safety. Yet.

Well quite. I would like us to win every game until the end of the season and every game next season, and so on. However, I am of the opinion that if we stick with this manager, we are in the most terrible trouble. I think he’s hopeless, and have done for nearly the whole of the season.

Hence the poll. Would you be prepared to take a loss on the chin, if it precipitates moving him on, and a new manager, which would almost certainly mean an upturn in form. Or, are you so committed that you’d take a single game win in the cup, and what feels like a long path to relegation. I’d go for the former, much as it goes against my innate desire to win every game. That’s kind of the point of the poll.

Maybe I should have phrased it “what is your preferred OUTCOME from THIS weekend” as the concept seems to be confusing people. Which is confusing me a bit tbh.

Confusing is apt for this manager.

We will win this, which will bring back a snippet of much needed confidence. That confidence, along with a little luck will help us get 3 points against a poor Watford side. 2 wins back to back and the arrival of a couple of fresh faces will get us right back to how we should be playing and we will start to pick up results and climb the table!

N.B. Please nobody ask me what I really think.
