Ericb on Saintsweb who has a pretty decent record of being ITK has said that the club are now actively looking for a replacement for MP??????

So they have plugged the black box back in? I thought they were constantly on the look out for the next manager?

Judging by the state of the pitch last night we may need it?

Realistically they should have been compiling a list and speaking to managers about potential interest for at least the last month, maybe the last two months, let's face it, we haven't suddenly become terrible. Nobody should be surprised that we've dropped to the relegation zone. If they really are only just looking at replacements now, then I have very little hope that they can act quickly enough to save our season in terms of the new manager coming in before the next PL match, and in terms of the Janaury window.

Please be true. How reliable of an ITK is he as I've not heard him mentioned before?

Reference the Adam Blackmore interview with MP2, the comment that made my ears twitch was MP2 saying something about new players “improving things, not just on the pitch BUT ALSO OFF THE PITCH”.
Does this indicate that things aren’t as rosy in the garden as Krueger would have us think?

If you play conservatively, you're still going to win some. Even Shane Long gets lucky and puts one in every once in awhile. One time he got so lucky he actually convinced half the supporters on here that he was a legitimate striker and the club resigned him. But no, Shane Long is Shane Long. And our tactics need to reflect that. Which means sometimes we draw a penalty or get lucky the ball bounces off of a Long body part the rest of the way. But mostly, we just run hard and don't score but maybe frustrate the other team enough so they don't score themselves.

Of course, you will lose some as well. Just as you can get lucky, you'll get unlucky.

But picture a scenario when we play conservatively and are happy with draws. Let's say 50% of the time we get it, but 25% of the time we lose, and 25% of the time we win. 4 games is 2 draws, a win and a loss. That's 5 points. That's easily enough to avoid relegation.

That's an incredibly fanciful scenario. You have us getting results in 75% of our matches...only the top six are currently managing that. And even then it doesn't easily avoid relegation: we would finish the year on 40 points, good for 16th or 17th in all likelihood. We would be in a scrap until the final couple weeks despite avoiding losses at a rate exceeding that of the 2015-16 side that missed Champions League by three points.
