Either that or Santa slept with a big smile on his face last night.

I actually consume very little milk. Don't eat cereal, don't drink milk. Only use milk for baking, or making cheese sauce.

A lifetime supply of milk for me isn't much... Now the kids go through about a gallon (US gallon not UK gallon) a week.

A quart is what's sold in stores so it must be about 8 pints.

How much is a quart of milk.... milk?

In the US it is 2 pints. Can't remember if same in UK. I know liquid measurements are different at some point once you get above a pint.

I was a child of the 80's we learnt gallon, etc, but never used them. Transition was just about over to metric for most things by then. Think need the old fogies on here to say.

Ok. Googled it. Gallon is 8 pints everywhere. In UK, Canada, and almost everywhere except US... A pint is slightly larger than the US (US pint is only about 80% size of UK pint).

I'm pretty sure both my daughters know what a pint is and how many there are in a gallon and quart. I understand they're millenials, whatever the **** they are <laugh>

I have no doubt you raised your daughters to understand what a pint is. <ok>

i forgot to actually calculate this

say you use 2 gallons of milk a week
    =16 pints a week.
    @ 50p a pint (tescos)

    = £8 a week in milk

    75million divided by 8 = 9.375million weeks or 180,288 years

so vvd is a little bit more expensive than a lifetimes supply of milk.

    2 gallons a year isn't much. :bandit:
"9.375million weeks or 180,288 weeks." Those numbers are not the same.
