They had the horoscopes for this year on MSN, so I thought I'd take a look and here's mine:

    Trust in your decisions

This year, you’ll no longer be afraid to put your foot down. If you don’t like something, you won't hide your feelings. When making decisions, make sure to assess and explore all the options presented to you, then you can say that you’ve made an educated choice.

  3. Bit of a disaster last night. There was a 21st birthday party in the function room upstairs in the pub and some little scrote pulled out a knife. Nobody was hurt thank God but the pub was put on lock down and the police were interviewing everyone. And of course nobody else could get in. I just feel sorry for the poor kid whose birthday it was. She was devastated by all accounts.
Oh well - onwards and upwards...

Stayed in so as to avoid such nonsense. Mrs H-F avoids parties like the plague which gets awkward at times.
Anyway, a quiet night in with Belgian beers, camembert, garlic meats, fruit and all rounded off with a couple of cocktails to Jools Holland's Hootenanay show. Normally we would indulge in a fish and chip supper, but not chippy open within a reasonable distance.
Full English breakfast this morning and no hangover. Result!

Had a power cut last night <doh> Fortunately it was all cleared up by 9 pm. but I had to spend time in total darkness trying to remember how to operate the generator, which I haven't used in 3 years. New Years eve was a quiet one with everyone just going outside and letting off fireworks at the required hour - first job this morning was collecting them all from the local farmers field.
