Drat these late goals! ..... (90 mins + 1) Leicester 2 Huddersfield 0 (= 3 points for me) .............. (90+ 2) Leicester 3 H'field 0 (= 1 point for me) (90 mins + 3) Burnley 1 Liverpool 1 (= ditto) total: 6pts .............. (90 + 4) Burnley 1 Liverpool 2 (= 0 pts) total: 1 pt It's a cruel world, eh?
Looks like you made up for it with 2 juicy 3 pointers, with 2 to go. Don't tell Audrey, he'll be spitting feathers
That should conclude the bumper Xmas fixture list....FA Cup this weekend then back to normal with the league the following week
A case in point here. This very astute poster below was within 1 minute of the 3 points he deserved and then Gooner luck robbed him, as so often in the past You just take it in your stride....... ......
I was even closer: predicted 2-3 to Chelsea. Gooners equalised (90 + 2) > 2-2. Then before the final whistle: "... in the second minute of stoppage time, Bellerin produced an exceptional half-volley to earn the Gunners a point. There was more drama seconds from the end when Zappacosta's shot thundered off Cech's crossbar." (BBC Sport) But I just take it on the chin, as you know..............
Might quibble about who was closer. I had the points after 91mins, you never quite got there. But I feel your pain all the same.
The whole bloody game is frustrating. This week, for example...... I toyed with Brighton 2 Bournemouth 2 but settled on predicting 1-1. Liverpool's recent scoring run made me go 3-1 rather than 2-1 at Burnley. City's recent defensive solidity made me go 3-0 rather than 3-1 against Watford. I went 2-0 rather than 2-1 for West Ham v WBA. I thought 2-2 for Arsenal v Chelsea but went with the law of averages and 1-1. In each case I typed the correct score, but changed it after checking through before posting Damn
