Alot of people claim to actually see ghosts and sometimes i think these people arnt actually lieing for instance my nan claims that shes seen the shadow of my grandad move across the room before. And my nans 85, shes not some school boy who likes to make up stories But i think it has alot more to do with your mind than actually ghosts. If you want to see something so bad your mind can make it up out of the slightest thing
Ghosts? Oh fur ****s sake. No such thing. There is, however, latent electrical energy in the air/atmosphere that we sometimes pick up on that leads us to believe we have seen something. Everything in the Universe is atoms. All atoms are indirectly linked to every other atom in the Universe. All atoms are energy. Energy moves between atoms. The only thing that stops us falling through the floor or passing through walls is that the atoms of your body oscillate at a different frequency from thos of the floor/wall.
I usually refrain from making sweeping statements but anyone who truly believes in ghosts probably isn't very bright. If you don't understand what you seen or why something happened it doesn't mean you need to fill the gaps with something supernatural, when it's far more likely that there will be a reasonable explanation. I seen a UFO over Guernsey about 6 months ago btw, was dandering to the shop when I spotted a weird light/craft in the sky. The way it was flying wasn't like anything I've seen before (growing up in Belfast we had plenty of military aircraft hovering over us all the time and this was completely different), it was completely silent, wasn't flickering and was changing directions and speed at will. As I meandered up the road staring at it and I turned the corner to find some bloke standing there gawking at the sky with his mobile phone out trying to record the thing, we both looked at each other and shouted "UFO!!" with big smiles on our faces. I bought the paper and did a bit of googling the next day but it seems no one else seen it, strange since there was at least two of us in my street who spotted it and independently came to the conclusion that it was abnormal. **** knows what it was, more likely to be an alien than a ghost mind, there's sound scientific theory that aliens could actually exist in some form
Perhaps you'd be better to stick with your usual reluctance to generalise Mick. My wife is an intelligent woman, but still believes in ghosts, as she claims to have had supernatural experiences. I agree with you though, I think it's bollocks. Extraterrestrial life maybe, but not ghosts. It's all in the mind.
26 year old know it all. Can you give a reasonable explanation for this; My girlfriends ma died when she was 8 years old and her da never moved house. After she died he took down all pictures of her ma and put them into their loft, when my gf grew up and moved in with me she took most of the photos with her. Over the years she has noticed lots of strange things happening especially when she was staying in her da's house and I too seen it with my own eyes. Her jewellry that her mum gave her always used to go missing from her bedside table, she would search her whole house and then would return to see it sitting on her bedside table as if it had never moved. I was having a natter with her brother one time in the kitchen and their back door opened by itself, which doesn't seem that weird, but it was a double glazing door were you had to push the handle up after closing it. We looked at each other in disbelief. But the one that really creeps people out was when we went down to her da's house for dinner after she had moved out. He had a new girlfriend and we were sitting having a drink after. His woman told us that she was having trouble sleeping in the house and that she was having strange dreams. She said that she kept having the same dream over and over again were she was standing at the bottom of the stairs in the house and there was a woman at the top telling her not to come up. She described what the woman looked liked and so my girlfriend went up into the loft and brought down a picture of her mum. Her da's girlfriend starting getting all teary eyed and told her that was the woman from her dreams. We were all quite spooked out.
Ghosts aren't real. I think Gambol has the best idea about all these "supernatural" acts, with the latent electrical energy.
