If he ends up getting sacked (which I bet he won't with the Transfer window opening) the board look like right twats with that interview they just released.
I'm not saying he shouldn't be criticized. Just stating the facts as it's only fair to judge on what happened.
They should be used to that kind of thing. A personal favourite of mine was Les Reeds youtube interview and he talks about how Clyne was about to sign a new contract with us.
All I can think is that RK made that interview so any potential signings would think that we have a stable environment, no point telling the world it is **** and MP is about to go - would frighten off all but the mercenaries. Or maybe I am wrong. Actually, I probably am.
What mr Gao must be thinking.....spent all that money on our purchase and now are in a scrap to stay up. What will our value be if we go down?
I can see the logic in the board thinking: 'keep the manager that knows the problems in the squad that need addressing for the transfer window' but Pel' can't exactly replace himself.
From the BBC - "Boss Mauricio Pellegrino said it will take six months to see if letting Van Dijk leave was the correct move and with his side now embroiled in a relegation battle, how the Argentine spends the proceeds will prove critical." About the same amount of time it takes you to make a substitution then Mo...
Which is why I'm concerned by the Krueger interview. That will in some way have come from Gao and sounds like he doesn't want to change things.
I am all for giving a manager time, chance to work with players, find his best team, learn from his mistakes, gradually improve the team. I am all for sacking a manager when none of the above happens. Time has run out 16 games left to avoid prexit
I can’t agree with that Beef. Time may prove you correct, however we are not down yet and it is not too late. Big decisions and big actions needed in the next two weeks.
Well, if we want to work on facts then it's time for another update... No wins in the last nine. One win in the last 14. Four wins all season. Pellegrino's total record? Four wins out of 23 games played. 21 goals scored in 23 games. 34 goals conceded in 23 games. Also... 20 points taken from our last 21 home games at St. Mary's
and again! It ****ing happened again! We play a solid game against a GOOD team but then go tits-up against the sides we should be getting points against.
Not too happy about it tbh, would rather have had 3 points. Pays for my Fulham trip on Saturday though I suppose.
