Main thing is to enjoy it. And mix it up. I exercise 4-6 times a week, depending on time: a mixture of running, tabata, core strengthening and Pilates. It offers me headspace and personal time outside work and family. And set yourself targets. I wanted to do a sub 20 minute 5k before Xmas and sub 42 minute 10k by February. Trying to do no dairy, yeast, sugar as well but pretty hard over Xmas!
My last week of indulging then I'm getting into it hardcore. I need to ration my Spliff habits. I'll look like an Adonis within a year
That's a decent enough score. Normal blood pressure should be 120/80 or below. Anything above 130/90 is considered to be mild hypertension. Anything over 150/100 is hypertension that needs to be treated.
Any moistness with that? Looks lovely otherwise. Fish pie for me. Then off to the football, where I have to avoid being coerced into having a beer or any chips!
Looks dry as fook innit It's actually quite wet when I whip it all together in the bowl, and chuck some Churrasco sauce on.
Went to the doctors a few years ago with high blood pressure. Got talking about diets / sensible eating and he said ignore calorie counting. He said that he generally lived by his "if I can't grow it, I don't eat it motto". Obviously you need protein, but he was referring to cutting out the convienence type foods which are generally high in facts, sugars, salts etc. Personally, I found this really easy to adopt. I couldn't be doing with all this a yoghurt has so many points, a cake has x number of sins etc.
The pieguts username was what we used to call a mate of mine. It was the first name that came in my head when I joined the forum and my mate passed away a couple of years ago, so don't really want to change it to anything different.
Just wanted to add, that just getting out for a walk in the park/woods/beach is great exercise and often overlooked. Doesn't always have to be a structured cardio or weights workout. I went to the beach today with my little un' and met up with a friend and her young daughter. We spent 2.5 hours jumping in the dunes and climbing back up, all on soft sand, then 1/2 mile walk back to the car. Probably as good a workout as a 1 hour intensive cycle / swim
I always read pilates as pirates, and wonder is its gonna be about hiag getting bummed at a fancy dress again.
