Happy New Year John. As a football club, the general momentum we built up since 2003/4 has well and truly evaporated. We're now on a downward spiral. I'm resigned to us spiralling further downwards until the owners have all/most their money back (hopefully the end of next season) and can then offload the club for a nominal price. Then hopefully fans will come back if the new owners show some ambition, and the club can start again. The big question is of course which division we'll be in when we can start this process. Could be one of 3 leagues but my money's on League 1
Has he gone awol as well? I’m going to immediately nip any rumours in the bud of us being one and the same person. I’m assuming that as I haven’t posted for 2 months that Quill has in the meantime declared 4 films as the best thing ever?
FTR I didn’t mean you specifically, but from memory ****loads had us top 6 and a few even top 2. Hardly any had us bottom 3. And I’m not being too smug about general predictions here, think I had Brum down as winning it...
Not having a go at either manager, but i don't know which i am more annoyed at, Slutsky downbeat post match interviews or Adkins positive upbeat post match interview, when at the end of the day nothing has changed on the pitch,if anything its got worse, not holding my breath regards this transfer window as i honestly believe that the Allams are working to a timetable that involved getting all there money back(fair enough) and dumping city into league one and then buggering off, and what hurts the most is, i honestly think they will get great pleasure and enjoyment in seeing that happen.
We've had about 10 potential buyers pull out at various stages due to them going back on their word or changing the price. They will be gone when the parachute money ends. Can we have Harry back for an unused box of Xmas crackers and a box of maltesers?
We sold Harry Maguire. This is what happens when you sell Harry Maguire. Rue the day you ever bought him off us, you have been cursed.
Slutsky was very good at putting his head in his hands and looking downwards. He admitted himself to the media that he didn't know what to do next.
Slutsky was dealt a ****ty hand by the owners, but he was progressively getting worse and had no idea what to do about it, he had to go.
The lad is absolutely golden. If Van Dijk goes for 75m then I don't even want to guess what Harry is worth. Younger, English and better.
It’s true and we’ve been saying it for 2 years. The thing I don’t understand - and I said it all summer - is why Utd didn’t go for him? Every time Jose has built a winning team he’s deployed a ball playing centre back who brings it out and links defence to attack. Harry is Lucio reincarnated. I haven’t seen anyone better than him at this in Europe over the past 2 seasons.
And Steve Bruce farmed him out on loan or sat him on the bench so his son could call himself a premier league footballer. Just imagine how good Harry would be now and how much we'd have got if he'd been developed over those two years instead of left to rot by the big fat twunt.
Or if he’d been thrown straight into the PL as an exceptionally raw young lad it might have ruined him forever. It’s happened to better young talents than Harry. Personally I think Bruce eased him in and managed the situation to perfection.
I haven't seen the goal... Was Gressy guilty of doing the Harlem Shuffle? He gets the wall lined up, stands still, then moves to his right just as the ball goes to the spot where he was before he moved. He's hopeless from any distance.. As for Rehab selling the club. I think he'd be happy to see City in L2, then sell it to some chancer for a quid, when the parachute money has gone and the crowds are down to 4,500.
