Can't see it happening in this window and then in summer he'll be busy trying to win a world cup. Tournament summer's are bastards for decent signings. Dybala could happen this window though, if we chuck enough money at it.
I think Dybala will join you this window. You'll pay 125mil+ though. But lets be honest money doesn't matter anymore.
Ssshh! Don't let any spurs fans hear you say that or there'll be a hoard of them on here talking about net spend and paying players pennies
It doesn't. We either stump up or accept that Man City will be at the top for the foreseeable future. Whatever happened to ffp anyway? It seems to no longer exist. I think UEFA must have been paid off by certain UAE countries!
Ffp is bollocks. I'm not that clued up about it so couldn't answer but I'm guessing the new TV revenue has opened it right up.
Very cynical Sucky! Didn’t you know you get more kudos from stringent housekeeping and winning **** all?
You mean paying reasonably sensible prices for good players, or bringing them through from our youth teams! After we’ve paid anywhere between £750 mill and £1bln for the new stadium.
I don’t know what exactly, because the powers that be seem very reluctant to do anything to stop it; but something needs to be done or teams like City will totally dominate football for the foreseeable future. In their case and, that of PSG, we’re taking not about oligarch or corporate ownership, but state ownership - and unimaginably wealthy oil stats too. Should very thinly disguised state ownership of clubs be allowed? Nobody can compete with that kind of financial firepower.
UEFA need to get their heads around this and decided how to manage it as those two teams will just be unstoppable. Maybe not PSG so much as the French league is weak by comparison to the premier league but City have the financial clout to do whatever they want and UEFA just have their heads in the sand and fingers in their ears on it. Is this how football should be? No, is it ****. They should cap spending and cap wages, level up the playing field for all leagues.
The big teams will still dominate, the levels of commercial gain at a team like United for a player, tramples all over what that player could get for playing for a team like Spurs. The whole Pogba/adidas thing was just the start here £800m shirt deals and huge sponsorship opportunities for the players etc. The Spurs' and Everton's of this world can't compete with that.
