Kudos for going C1904.... as has been said before on this thread, you all want reimbursing. I agree totally with you about Adkins tactics... if you are attacking the opposition is defending and we aren't skilled the latter. SO.... what can we do... get at 'em... which seemingly is what we didnt do again today...

Just back from the game - decent parking and pub grub at The Beehive, first time at the Macron and thought the ground was pretty impressive. City's performance was absolutely dire with Hector and Stewart way below professional standard. City showed no urgency when given the opportunity to press forward (until the last 5 minutes and when they did, they had Bolton all over the place). The goal followed a spell of play when City had at least four golden opportunities to cross the ball into the box but opted to play the ball back until it was lost and Bolton broke to be presented with the free kick. As for the free kick, it was eminently saveable but Greegsy set up a poorly positioned wall and then stood six feet forwards from the line leaving loads of space for Modine to aim at. Overall, Bolton were very poor but were at least willing to fight for the cause while City just looked demoralised throughout.
    Worrying stuff!

Agree about the 'decent manager' who wasn't entertaining enough for some of our fans.

Did you see MOTD last night?

Someone put a photo of Sane up, who plays for Man City, and apparently Dowie has been hiding in Sane's throat.

Not sure about being doomed - even though they were very poor on the day, City do at least look like being able to play football if Nigel Adkins can sort out the tactics and develop their attacking instincts. Meanwhile we could be suffering from pre-sqeaky bum time squeaky bums.

Everybody else must’ve been playing in defence or up front with 1 in midfield.

How much of this is down to a poor preseason I terms of getting the squad gelled and match fit?

I notice there are many Villa fans who think Bruce doesn't play attractive enough football for a 'big club' like they undoubtedly are... though I suspect they're quiet this evening. I always thought Phelan would fail, Silva worked miracles for a while but ultimately came up short, Slutsky I had hope for mainly because I knew bugger all about him. Now we have Adkins who must know the job represents **** or bust for his managerial career. I was at the KC for the game against Fulham. It was my first visit this season. Looking around at the half-empty stadium, experiencing the lack of atmosphere, and witnessing the second half capitulation left me feeling bereft. How quickly things have unravelled. For the first time I felt as if there is a serious possibility we might be relegated.
(Please, Ehab, sell up and move on. You must have made your money back by now. Why do you need this aggravation?)

I agree with most of what you say.but Dawson was my man of the match with Irvine.i thought hector was and is awful.aina plus our midfield are pussycats.
Their free kick was was well placed.but McGregor always jumps as they are taking it.so he loses his feet and can't get back.
Not enough passion from our team .
This side has lost its heart brain and fight.
We're off to see the wizard.the wonderfull wizard of oz.or is it enob with a microphone.

Back to fawning over Steve Bruce again. A man who's head spent equal time shoved up Allams and his own arse. Has probably the most expensively assembled and most talented team ever to play in the championship and struggling to keep them in the playoffs, there's a squad of players there you'd expect would comfortably stay in the premier league with a half decent manager.

He won't be telling the Villa fans how lucky they are to have him though, like he did every time he spoke down to and belittled us.
