I think some of Henriksen's distribution when he's got the ball is half-decent. Trouble is he wants it on a plate all the time, won't put his foot in and he's dog slow.
Compare with ours. Lack of fight and application cost us today. Henriksen 4 million was it. Toral 3 million. Irvine 2 million? Dicko 2 million? Stewart 4 million plus? We need someone to Bale us out but if you think it will happen this season, people will look at you as if you're a Clooney.
Massive positive from today is that Tymon had a blinder apparently. I reckon that alone is what’s keeping us out of the bottom 3.
Might be for the best today. It must be obvious now to even the most dilatory twat that we need strengthening.
He talks bollocks not riddles, Nigels not quite at Dowie level yet but a few more months with us he will be at that stage
Very prudent of him to be lining up a second career just in case football doesn't happen for him. Maybe he should focus on the job in hand though, his day job, rather than whittling time away on the sidelines.
Some dog turd comments on here from people who clearly never went Henriksen was ok today, probably the pick of the midfield until Evandro came on - hardly ever gave the ball away - compares to someone like Meyler who has one of the worst pass ratios in the Championship Hector is ****ing awful - whoever signed him at Chelsea needs sacking Stewart - awful game, arguably as bad as Meyler, at least he didn't hoof the ball into his own net but it was his mistake that led to the goal Bowen was poor - no pace whatsoever, on this showing he wont be going anywhere Irvine played well but was wasteful with the final ball thankfully Evandro is back - good player Bolton were dire, probably the worst team I've seen this season by some way - we lost because of a total lack of willingness to push forward - our full backs stopped behind the play when they should pressed forward - no-one wants to get in the box and we had two or three chances that wizzed across with no-one to tap it in - stupid decision to take off Dicko, he should have played along side Campbell
Nigel would make a spiffing politician.. I can imagine my interview with Nigel going something like this: Me: Well Nigel that's another defeat NA: Yeah, but the lads put in a good shift. Getting to know each other. We're all on a journey at the club. Me: Is it a journey to League 1? NA: Don't knock League 1. There's some top sides in there. Me: Its two goals in five games, None in four of them. NA: Fair comment, but we haven't lost by many. Feel the positives Me: Yeah Nigel, but you've got two points out of fifteen. NA: Is it that many? Me: Being turned over by a team lower than us, has to set alarm bells going. NA: Are there any below us? Me: The way things are going, we'll soon be rock bottom. NA: Think positive. We'll be the strongest team in the league. Me: What? NA: We'll be holding up the rest.
I have just got back, I haven't read the thread. We simply lacked the bottle and lost the battle. I said before they will launch the ball long and try getting stuck in. We needed Larsson in there early on, get him in the referee's ear. Dawson lost every header, Hector won far more (Yes you can criticise someone other than a Chelsea youngster). We need width, our full backs refuse to run with the ball. Has Adkins told them not too, as they used to a lot more under Sluts. We need natural wingers, not players who we put there. We had Toral, Henrikson, Irvine, Evandro all trying to do the exact same thing. Get to the byline get a cross in, take a man do something with the ball. Our attacking play has gone massively down hill but whats annoyed me more is the lack of fight. Bolton won every single second ball in our half, get stuck in. Absolutely fuming, that was totally unacceptable. Still stood and sung for 90 minutes.
