What a great result. Haven't seen the game so can't comment on the performance. Utd under pressure now.....and Chelsea away at Arsenal....
"Danny Mills Once again we're talking about Liverpool's defensive frailties, can Virgil van Dijk fix that?" **** you Danny Mills "If Liverpool fail to win Klopp will be in for it. Strange team choice, Burnley away is a very tough game! Gavin, Beds" **** you Gavin, Beds "Mignolet is captain. MIGNOLET IS CAPTAIN. Says it all really. Bill" **** you Bill "Sam: Despite Burnley’s excellent performances this season, Liverpool given the money they’ve spent should be able to beat teams like this" **** you Sam "Patrick: No Salah, no party" **** you Patrick
This isn't helping my blood pressure. Can't say I've enjoyed watching the last couple of games much, but I'll take the 6 ugly points for now. Burnley are a tough team to break down. Phew.
Can again did not look that interested and gave the ball away to much, especially in the first half. Mane was poor until he scored, then Klopp takes him off. He should have left him on as he needs to get his confidence back. Chuffed with the win as Burnley are hard to beat at home and we had a weaker side out. Now let us hope Salah and Coutinho come back for the EFC game on Friday.
in fairness to mane he played 48 hours ago as well so taking him off was probably wise. We want these guys in top condition in feb so let's hope this rest pays dividends.
P.S. Thought the ref was crap, another one who did not want to get his cards out of his pocket. As it rained all game I can only assume he did not want to get them wet.
Could have been so different. Gomez guilty of ball watching, again FFS! Someone needs to coach that out of him (Not our coaches, mind, they have no defensive clue)
he was.too worried about the pea in his whistle though... blew for every flop over of barnes. detour missed.clattering can in that last run by millimetres. ref didn't stick his hands out for advantage as he did countless times for burnely. he failed them to book the other burnely lad who chopped can down.
Klopp's rotation policy has paid off and this will help the squad be fresher in the last third of the season. Special mention to Lallana on his first start. I am worried for Solanke he may be young but he does look like Yaya Sanogo at the moment. He needs a goal soon for his confidence.
