Still think Eires tongue in cheek suggestion about not playing a striker could work, as we have Roofe, Phillips, Saiz, Alioski, Pablo who all score, plus we have Cibicki who has played up front, so too have Saiz and Alioski. We need a solid platform in midfield with runners ripping defenders apart.
All our best performances so far have been when the midfielders were running all over the place. Think we’ll be better with Roofe roaming around than a stationery Lasogga doing nothing. On another note, surely the Sacko signing is the worst move by current owners
Have to say, that might be fun to watch - I might be tempted to reserve testing the theory till a cup game though. Imagine the bile toward TC if Leeds got beat in the league and didn't field a recognised target man.
If no takers I'll gladly give it a whirl. But im happy to stream via Andy Briggs on all Leeds ain't we on facebook if someone else needs it
We’ve been good as many times as we’ve been bad this season (Forest, Sunderland, Burton first game, Bristol City, Middlesbrough, Villa all spring to mind). Above average in others (Derby even though we lost, Preston, QPR, Barnsley). Average in some (Norwich, Bolton, Reading, Birmingham first time). Yes, poor in others but that’s the Championship. Teams don’t roll over in this league. Ask Hull and Sunderland with their parachute payments how easy this League is. For someone that advocates giving it ten games or so to see how the table is panning out, you have me scratching my head a bit bleating so much when we are fifth. Sure, we may not stay there but I’ll tell you something, we have a better chance if the fans stay behind the team. You seem to be singling me out in your posts as being overly positive. For the record, you are talking balls, I have said when we are poor. I also say who I think played well rather than who I wanted to play well, I have 11 favourites at kick off. Maybe I am more positive than you because I need to maintain the enthusiasm to commit twelve hours every other week to cheer them on. Maybe it is easier to be negative and be an armchair expert??
We’ll all be happy and wonder what the fuss was about after we come away 4-0 winners Bucks I’ve sent you the code, I’ll hang about while you try it in case I’ve misread a digit
Love the post, Davy. Forgot to mention the stability myself. Funny, but it almost feels normal to have stability now. How quickly things change, eh? I think the other thing that most people forget about is that there's always another team on the park with us, and oddly enough, they don't like letting us do what we want. Imagine that! There's also the 'cup final' spur they get when they play us. Sadly. But if we want to be a big team, we've got to accept that.
Eire, I love your posts, I agree with more than I disagree with and I love varied logical input but... I’ve noticed you are more negative this season than I have seen you be in the past. It does puzzle me and I hold my hands up, it’s all opinion, no right or wrong, just a little “it’s not like you”... Hope all is okay pal
All well Ristac. Suppose might be an age thing, all the false dawns etc and with every new owner comes the hope of real change. The catalyst that would lift us to the level of a Newcastle Brighton or Wolves. Finding it increasingly frustrating when that doesn’t seem to be happening. Still a big win today and I’ll change my mind again for the hundredth time I’m sure
