If Green was that good, he'd be playing for us right now.

Yes, TC would probably have preferred Felix to start with, but Green would have got the chance that Lonners failed to take. But no, he's too big-headed to compete for a place, and prefers to get splinters in his arse for lots more money.

I don't want someone who won't compete in our team. You have to earn your place in a Leeds team. It is not awarded due to your reputation. It's awarded to you for your skills, commitment, & attitude. Green may have had the skills, but he's clearly demonstrated that he didn't have the right attitude. And zero commitment. No man is bigger than the team, and as far as Leeds are concerned, he's in the best place we could hope for - anywhere else but ER.

So Felix should never be compared to Green. Felix wants to play for us. Green didn't.

In my opinion Green got an offer he couldn’t refuse. Modern footballers are not by and large supporters they are employees earning a crust.

Also in my opinion Felix is supposed to be a goalkeeper and therefore his first job is is to keep the ball from going in the goal. He is diabolical and we won’t prosper whilst he and the three other failures Lasogga, Orta and TC are at the club. The jury is very much out in whether Tc deserves to be on that list too,

Green was just about good enough to wear the shirt, Felix isn’t and never will be.

Think you’ll find that Felix has had fewer shots to save than Greene at this stage last season. That says our DMs & Defenders are better this season than last, which is a surprise. But to compare Greene to Felix is still not fair because Greene humps the ball forward which more often than not comes straight back at the defence meaning more shots coming in. Felix is great with his distribution and think you’ll find he has more clean sheets than Greene? Not my cup of tea for a keeper but yet another of our players getting a bad press rightly or wrongly

When Felix first came to us I was a bit umm and arring, he was a continental keeper taught and trained
to punch and parry, even then he made mistakes.

I have noticed a difference in him since he was recalled, but his catching has only improved slightly.

His mind set is going to be punch and parry before catching, this is embedded more than catching the ball, it creates a confusion gap, therefore he'll resort to what he knows as the best, and to him the safest option. He, or the keeper coaches need to work a lot more on his catching so his confidence in catching over rides his need to punch and parry all the time, there'll still be times where the need to punch and parry are justified.

Felix at moment wouldn't be my first choice, simply because he lacks the experience of knowing when too, and being able to catch the ball; however,
his distribution is far greater than Greens, and is probably the reason he has kept so many clean sheets, with the help of our defence of course.

Since returning Felix has done alright, not brilliant, but done alright, and I mentioned earlier, could he be the good luck charm as far as keeping clean sheets is concerned. He parried instead of catching, or stopping the shot which resulted in a goal, however, it's not all his fault.

When the goal was tapped in, where was Ayling?.......Jansson was left with 2 Brum players to stop. How many times has it been said in past, where was Ayling?

Some go on about Berardi needs replacing, I too agree Berardi should be back at RB, but how many goals have come from Berardi's side, as opposed to Aylings side and from the middle?.............food for thought.

Whitejock you say we have signed championship players before and more often they have been AWFUL your words ! where do you think shaunessey was signed from ??? READING ! a championship club ! you say he has done better than anita and Klich in training your words BUT THEN you say do we really want to go back to signing championship players ????? why do you think he has done better than klich who signed from fc twente ?? anita was rejected by newcastle also but started his career at ajax those early years playing for ajax not the same as playing in the championship and anita was not offered a another contract at newcastle why do you think they wanted rid of him ??? and KLICH RECORD OF SCORING BEFORE leeds bought him was 6 GOALS IN 29 MATCHES thats not what i call prolific scoring rate thats almost 1 in 5 matches no wonder leeds are starved of goals from him , who made the decision to buy him ?? a good striker should be less than 1 in 3 games ,when as you say in your own words reading ( championship club defender ) shaunessey has excelled in your words ,so my argument of buying championship experienced players of quality holds up !!

FFS Snif, where do I start to try to answer this convoluted ramble? I'll be kind and assume you're pissed. If not, then you demonstrably know fcuk all about our team.

Nessi - he never played in the Championship for Reading. He was a Development DM released by Reading that we picked up. He excelled earlier this season as an emergency CB - not at DM. His DM performance leaves a lot to be desired. The jury is most certainly out on him.

Klich - You kinda lost me here. Do you think he's a striker? He's a DM! So why are you talking strikers scoring rates when referencing him?

Anita - I have no idea why Newcastle let him go. He had a 5 year contract, and Benitez didn't re-sign him, after playing him all year. Perhaps Benitez didn't think he was PL standard, or simply didn't fancy him as it wasn't him who signed him?

    Sniffer, with respects,

Klich's record of 6 goals in 29 games is a fairly good contribution from a CM, that's fairly close to half a season in all comps in our season.

Realistically, Striker/s should score the most, followed by AM's, then CM's, and the defence chips in when they can.

    do
does not matter shaunessey played for reading under 18 and reading U23 and was playing alongside and against championship quality players and also played republic of ireland u21 so this shows he is above the normal run of the mill and the championship games shaunessey played for leeds he was on the winning side 3 times and a draw out of 6 matches and 1 of the defeats he was yellow carded which shows commitment this proves that experienced as little he has of championship standard is better than going for lower leagues and unknowns all the time does not get you promoted as we have seen for years at ER

My view is Ayling is not up to standard and we need a left back.cant see it happening though.we have a short arsed side so brought even even shorter player in Anita.

    sNiF,

I give up - as far as Nessi's concerned.

Dying to hear your reply on the other two that you seem to have forgotten about.

With regards to 14 new signings and only half playing, many will have been signed as squad players, replacements for the likes of Doukara, Murphy, Diacouraga and others.... unrealistic to expect us to have 20? Good enough for the first team fighting for a place, not at this level and budget.

Worryingly though half our signings won’t play a half dozen games over a season. What addition are they. Might as well promote a few young lads

I’m not sure who they are if I’m totally honest Eire. Klich is the stand out one who’s not getting game time but personally I’d prefer seeing Philips and Vieira start ahead of him.

Cibicki took his chance but last two games he has been poor, I fully expect him to be dropped today. An open invite to anyone, who are the 6 (under half) not playing that you’d like to see start?

Felix and Lonners only one can play, Grot, Lasogga, Ekuban, again only one can start and injuries have played a big part. The signing of Sacko was very questionable for me the rest I just see as us ensuring we have a squad to choose from, some will work some won’t

We’re not alone, Chelsea and others are always signing players costing more than our entire squad and ground purchase combined and they never kick a ball.
