HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL RACEHORSES! A Thankyou to all of them for trying 100% (most the time anyway ) and making the sport possible - without them it just couldn’t be possible (literally)
12.50 VYTA DU ROC- 2/1 If this horse doesn’t win today he never will- his main rival Russe Blanc is now 12, the Nichols runner will hate the ground, Lamb or COD is no way near good enough and the NTD runner will too hate the ground! My selection loves cheltenham, won’t mind th ground and is pretty well handicapped but really is the only option left
Happy new year all. Anybody want to put forward a cogent argument as to wh Yanworth, with a 5lb pull, will or won't get the better of Willoughby Court this time?
He won’t! Needs 3m, can’t jump a fence and will end up back in the stayers hurdle come March, this his last chance for chasing
Happy new year guys. YANWORTH'S REVENGE! 15/8 yesterday was a great price, into 13/8 now. Jumps round he wins, will be plenty of pace on, expect Barry to play the waiting game and the front runners to wilt after 2 out, this will be a grind, and one Yanworth will prove strongest in
At the prices Ballyandy would be the bet for me. Showed he handles heavy ground with a solid victory over ***an on chase debut at Perth and should come on a bundle for that experience.
The only Cheltenham race I didn't bet in. Just too many what-ifs. I think Willoughby Court, but only with someone else's dosh!
Jumps like a Skoda indeed. Novice chasers who have jumped poorly, but clearly have an engine, often make attractive betting propositions - on the basis that normal improvement in jumping could be expected to bring about a huge improvement in overall performance. Yanworth's favourite now though - sobno value there anymore. And Willoughby Court looks a proper chaser anyway, but I don't really m want to back him to give away weight in this ground either. Ballyandy maybe? Won't mind the ground at all.
My original bet was going to be Ami Desbois who opened at 16s and if there had been 8 runners would have been my play each way. Very much agree, there 5 decent horses and novice chases see plenty of drama...
Ami Desbois is my bet Beefy, ew. Missed 16s but had a little bit at 12s. I just think he'll be absolutely ready to go this afternoon and will be fine on the ground.
Beefy what are they saying about Faugheen over there mate? Is he done? Or were they just being ultra-careful the other day?
