can't think of many broken bones in the 80's, let alone twice. Jacques Laffite broke his leg at Paddock Hill Bend in 86 is one that springs to mind.
can't remember him getting injured, stefan Johanssen? running out of credible 80's drivers, obviously someone who could've been decent, but never quite made his mark.
Haha! What a great thread! Flattered that some think my memory as good as it once may have been. Nevertheless, best I play a watching brief. But... and not to be dissuaded from the purpose of my visit: HAPPY NEW YEAR to not606 and all who sail in her first class Motorsport compartment !!
Happy new year to you and yours . Please don’t just watch. , if you know the answer go ahead , or pm me .
To clarify . Crashed at the same circuit , 2 consecutive years , 95% certain it was the same corner , definitely the same injuries . I cannot wait until 13:00 to give a clue . He is from mainland Europe he’s not French German Austrian or Italian . He broke both lower legs / ankles and drove for 2 different teams when the Accidents occurred ( Testing for 1 Racing for the other ) .
It's a toughy. Even if you gave the teams he drove for I think only a few may have a chance of getting it. Great question!
Boutsen? He was a decent driver, don;t remeber him getting injured though. The trouble is, all the drivers I remember getting injured generally left F1 because of it or died.
