I read somewhere that Southampton have made £174 million or something from Liverpool in the last 4 years and earlier on this year somebody bought Southampton football club for £200 million, surely that can't be right? If it is right, the guy/people who bought Southampton have got a ****ing bargain.

when the first players went to liverpool, it was to pay off debts. the owner wanted the club to be self financing and not relying on her to bail them out. Also those sales were offset by buying in replacements and financing the wages of those replacements.
