Yeah, not really interested in what Sky pundits say to be honest. They all talk ****e. It looks a pen real time to me and the ref saw it real time, not from 20 different slo mo sky angles
As said all the pundits at the time... Oh wait....that’s not what happened at all, you one eyed, kopite cock womble
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, speaking to Sky Sports about West Brom's penalty: “What can you do – talk and talk and talk but it doesn’t change anything. The Premier League does face a problem with the scheduling and referees. I tried hard with referees to help them become professional. The level of the referees unfortunately doesn’t go up. It’s not the first time it happened but it’s best we don’t talk about it. I believe West Brom had five days to prepare and we had three. The Premier League has to look at when the schedule is fair and unfair, on our side it’s unfair. Since the start of the season you have to look at it." (Sky Sports)
You misunderstand my comment, Pix (as usual). It's the fact that you are reduced to praying that Spurs lose in order to make things better for Arsenal being so ****e today, that I posted the beeling emoji.
You misunderstood mine. I'll be pissing myself laughing if you lose. Shouldn't take too much to work out, but this is you we're talking about after all
Well, that concludes the final live text commentary from BBC Football in 2017. I'll leave you with a timely quote from T.S. Eliot. "For last year's words belong to last year's language. And next year's words await another voice." Someone tell Arsene Wenger. Happy New Year. (BBC Football Live commentary) Top wumming!
Not really as I think it was a pen and the ref agreed. Records won't show some other people thought otherwise.
On the contrary, I knew exactly what you meant. You are very easy to understand, Pix. It's one of the principle reasons that I can manipulate you so easily.
Clearly you didn't though, hence the fact that you got it wrong You still haven't told us how you've worked out that Arsenal should only have 18 points. Can you back up that claim with some evidence ?
I agree that it's not a penalty, but what does the ball hitting his chest if his arm wasn't there have to do with it? Chambers shuts his eyes and makes an odd movement with his arm towards the ball. The ref can't see that he's got his eyes closed and it's not deliberate, so the player's given him a decision to make. It's wrong, but I can see why he's made it. Arsenal's first goal against Palace the other day was very marginally offside, as Sanchez waved his arm at the ball in front of Speroni. It's another understandable mistake by the officials, but it was ignored. Video refs would've cancelled out both goals, in my opinion. We need better officials and we're not going to get them with the current model. They're treated like utter arseholes on the pitch, then slaughtered by people watching a bunch of replays after the game. Who'd want that job? Probably not that many competent and reliable people. Give them more help, clamp down on cheats and use technology in a consistent manner and we'll get better refs.
"Chambers has got his arm pretty much tucked into his body", says Tony Gale, as the replay shows that it's not at all! It's not deliberate and it's not in an unnatural position, in my opinion, but "tucked into his body"? Nope.
