    Barclays Premier League
    Date - Tuesday, 2 January 2018
    Kick Off - 19:45
    Venue - Liberty Stadium

Following their dramatic late victory over Watford, Carlos Carvalhal will take charge of his first home match against high-flying Spurs on Tuesday evening.

Carlos the Jack can expect a warm welcome from the Swansea faithful who will appreciate not only the way that he masterminded an unlikely victory, but especially the desire and passion shown by him during and after the Watford match.

The 3 points earned at Vicarage Road moved the Swans off the bottom of the table, and 'only' 6 points from 12th in the PL table.

Spurs will visit The Liberty without Harry Kane who is injured - a huge relief for Swans fans, but there are other dangerous players that will need watching. It will be interesting to see if Fernando Llorente plays in place of Kane. What's the odds that he will score?

The Swans have played Spurs on 44 occasions, winning just 8 matches, drawing 9 and losing 27. In fact, since the Swans entered the PL the record has been pretty miserable: they have failed to beat Spurs in the 13 matches played - 3 draws and 10 defeats.

In the corresponding match last season, Spurs ran out 3-1 winners when they produced a sensational late turnaround to beat a stubborn Swansea side and kept intact their aspirations of winning a first Premier League title.

Despite dominating possession, Spurs fell behind to a neat close-range finish from their former winger Wayne Routledge.

The visitors were camped in their opponents' half for long periods but were frustrated by a combination of their own lack of a cutting edge and Swansea's diligent defending, before Dele Alli eventually broke through to convert Christian Eriksen's cross after 88 minutes.

Son Heung-min fired Tottenham ahead in added time, and then Eriksen completed the remarkable comeback with a curling effort.

Turning to Tuesday, whilst it would be fantastic to record a maiden PL victory against Spurs, I suspect that a draw is the best we can hope for. I'm going for 1-1

    Hopefully not. I think he'll get a 3-5 game ban :)

Swansea City defender Kyle Naughton has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association for allegedly stamping on Watford's Stefano Okaka.

The alleged incident took place during Swans' 2-1 win at Vicarage Road on Saturday, 30 December.

An FA statement said: "The incident was not seen by the match officials but caught on video."

Naughton, 29, has until 17:00 GMT on New Year's Eve to respond to the charge.

See that the infamous and equally hopeless, Bobby Madley will be in charge on Tuesday.

He will, as usual, want to make it all about him being the most important guy on the field.

Odds are he will make yet another controversial decision - odds-on it will be in Spurs' favour....

Swansea players that moved on have tended not to have good careers afterwards but lately they always play well against us and score. So sadly I think Llorente will score.

However, any points gained in this game and I will then start to believe in another escape!

    Cardiff 2-1 down at QPR.

If it stays the same, that would be 4 Championship defeats on the bounce.....

    It did!

How many free kicks around the box and penalties will Alli and Eriksen dive for.
I hope the fans forget about Hugh Jenkins tomorrow night, support the team and give the cheating Spurs players hell from start to finish.

We certainly need to support the guys and get at the cheating diving Spuds....

It will be interesting to see if the called for chant in the 27th minute is successful.

If we are winning, the Jack Army should focus on supporting the team. If we are losing, I suspect that the chant could become thunderous......
