Also we may be newly promoted but I very much doubt Pardew is a bigger pull than Rafa. When Pardew took over we’d only been in the division one season. Hughton had done a good job of getting us solid. So any downturn to Newcastle being newly promoted is surely offset by Rafa being a bigger pull? We are still low payers and low transfer fees so nothing has changed in that regard. Say it quietly but has Rafa and his contacts just saddled us with a load of sub standard players? Joselu and Manquillo just look like poor players he had plumped for because they are Spanish. Maybe Graham Carr wipes the floor with Rafas crew. At what stage do you start to actually judge the fellow I’m what is happening under the constraints we have rather than what ifs?
I'm not convinced that he has mate. I'm really not. Relegation scraps are not his forte..........we already know that
Carr was pretty good and also suffered from Penfold going for cheaper third or fourth choices instead of first choices. Time to judge Rafa is when Ashley/Penfold fund the team as a PL team should be funded. Not necessarily all Rafa’s first choices but definitely not when we are down to third or fourth choices with no First or second choices.
Various reports doing the rounds. He doesn't want to lose that. Makes sense if PCP will invest in the club. He probably thinks we'll challenge for Europe and Sports Direct will be advertised free all over Europe.
