Does anyone on here really celebrate this? I've thought for years it's overrated and might not bother at all tonight. If so what are your plans? Any new year resolutions that you'll break tomorrow?
Going out for a couple of drinks and a meal earlyish. But we’ll be back by 10.30 ish. See in the new year at home.
Going to friends for a few drinks and games. Can’t be arsed with going out out for it when I’m not single.
Had ours last night, it’s not a big thing here in the provinces. I’ve always thought it was over rated back home apart from in Scotland where you go first footing.
Early meal out with family, back to theirs, kids can stay up til midnight, all to bed just after, haggis lunch tomorrow.
Had some epic NYE gigs with the band I play in, proper debauched nights fuelled by mdma, coke, spliffs and rum. Great fun, but the week long come down is not. The last couple of years I've just had quiet ones with the missus and little un'. Much nicer to be honest. Today off out for lunch with family and my folks. Back to watch the footie, then a couple of drinks and I'll probably be in bed before 12pm tbh.
On call tonight so can't go anywhere and can't drink or smoke weed. Can't ****ing wait Top dollar though for just keeping my work phone on.
My youngest is 15 today...she's still in bed so I have finished decorating the front room or her. Taking her shopping Then to the pictures and then for a meal.
Off down the village pub for the first time in about 3 years. No big deal. Just another night out for me apart from the fact my wife will be joining me
Will do **** all tonight. Possibly order a takeaway. Went out last night, which was civilised, so got no desire to do anything tonight. NYE has always been a massive let down but I used to buy into it when younger and go out. Now see it for what it is, nothing of any importance.
Round to a family "and friends" do ... he plays in a band (just local stuff) but he has lots of equipment and sets things up for a pretty good karaoke ... been doing that for the last 5 years or so ... a good night out usually ... couldn't be doing with big crowded city centres ... which I loved as a teenager (coz you got snogged by lots of different birds - was always a good pulling night)
Update; some friends with their kids will come over and we'll have an Indian. Probably a bit of swapping later too! Hope so, she's a definite wid.
Let's be honest it's a load of ****e unless you're at home with your loved ones. Everyone getting pissed, the women getting emotionally carried away whilst being tanked up and predators like me lurking to see if there's a way in. So if I don't manage to fix myself up with getting laid...I'm off to bed. Either way I'm getting blazed
