Isn’t there a reset rule re yellow cards? Not disagreeing with the rest but would play him (if he is eligible) and rest in the cup
I thought there was a reset rule but Google has furnished me with the following "If a player receives five yellow cards before December 31, they will automatically be handed a one-match ban. After this date players are not penalised until they receive their tenth booking of the campaign, when they are hit with a two-game suspension. There is another yellow card amnesty in April, whereafter a player is slapped with a three-match ban if they pick up 15 bookings before the end on the season".
I know it’s only one game but ****ing 14 seconds for Silva and a ban for Maguire over one day! Timing isn’t our strong point is it
Harry Maguire will be available to play against Huddersfield. He’s picked up 5 bookings before 31st December, but the 5th came after the 19th game of the season. From the beeb
I'm just relieved that the rule re the number of bookings leaves no room to be misinterpreted. Just like the offside rule. One point from the last twelve isn't good when you consider that two of the defeats were against Palace and Watford. Liverpool and Man Utd have better squads than us so can accept that we are likely to not get maximum points against them. Huddersfield has now become a must win game. Otherwise it'll be 'Puel out!'
