He really doesn't have much else to pick from. Nobody that markedly better than what's on the pitch today. Theres only Mitrovic but he's injured. Its like criticising Lewis Hamilton for not winning an F1 race while driving a 2003 Nissan Micra.
Stop spouting rubbish mate, Mitro is fit according to his interview, Rafa is the one saying he's injured... "Mitrovic, though, said he is fit and raring to go for a new team and went on: “I never felt better, I’m physically in flawless form, I can not wait to play." http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...ndar-mitrovic-tells-newcastle-united-14086106
That game, was crying out for a player to show , he is in the right league . Sadly , there were none .
For this one, Rafael Benitez can go **** himself, if he can pull his cock out of Joselu's mouth long enough.
All the Rafa Teabaggers need to give your head a wobble. If he was anyone else we'd be in full ****ing revolt by now with the negative tactics and poor team selections.
I hadn't read that but I wouldn't take it as gospel just because the player says so in a politically motivated interview. There's more going on with this payer than meets the eye and the only one out of you, me and Rafa that knows the truth is Rafa.
No, you would be. And the other nuggets whose first instinct is to point the finger at the manager without looking at the playing squad we have available. The players are **** mate. Ashley has left the bloke trying to polish a turd. Playing this formation or that formation won't make them better players.
I have to say today I didn’t take any notice of the game and I told the wife this game has nil nil written all over it. Rafa has the worst squad in the league no doubt about it. But this obsession with playing Joselu is getting beyond a joke now. We should have been playing 4-5-1 today and flooding the midfield to at least control the game a bit more. It’s a real sad state of affairs when we are taking, and accepting a 0-0 draw at home to Brighton when we are desperate for points. I have to admit that I have never in my life of being a nufc fan been more disheartened as right now. I’m bored, sick of it in fact. The quality of football is terrible. I also can’t see the takeover going through soon either but I hope I am wrong. How on earth did our amazing football club become so bad!!!!!
I lost all faith in Mitro when IMO he got himself deliberately suspended for needlessly elbowing a player in the head. He chose not even to fight the charge, but went straight for the instant ban. Players who do that can be of no use to a team. Shelvey's behaviour isn't too different.
First of all apologies for saying your spouting rubbish. BUT I may not be a party to what is going on but I'm a reasonably well educated man and can see what is going on without a shadow of a doubt. Rafa is forcing out our best striker - in terms of Goals per minute in this league. And who is he going to replace him with? Joselu mkII... I don't care about what he has to spend or who or who not he couldn't get in. You have the cards you are dealt, either play your strongest hand (e.g. - not Joselu or Manquillo) or go fish. Why are we playing 4-4-2 today? To accomodate Joselu. Rafa has always been a 4-5-1 manager - staunchly so - and we have players to make that formation work yet still persist with the donkey and the ass up top - you can pick which one is the donkey and which is the ass - both are his buys as well I'd mention as are 90% of that squad - Lacs, Dummy, Darlow aside - Rafa bought them so what's your excuse for him there?
I'd disagree - I thought that was incredibly harsh for him to be suspended for that tackle especially when you take into account Rooney's elbow on Ritchie recently. Watch them both back and tell me which was worse. Shelvey on the other hand - the stamp on Alli, the racism etc etc - I have no time for - although I'd say he is our best CM...
The only players I have any time for in this entire squad are Lascelles, Elliot, Dummett, Merino and - at a very distant push - Shelvey. Everyone else can take a long walk off a short pier. Common theme with the players who give us no enjoyment? All are Rafa purchases. I get it's a Championship squad - but it's a fcking Championship WINNING squad. Leicester won the title with a few shrewd additions ffs (extreme example, I know). It should not so ill prepared for this division. We laboured to that Championship title much like Real, Chelsea, Inter and Napoli laboured to some very limited success. I dunno - maybe it IS Rafa. But it's a complicated and a little dead-end of a situation. If/when Staveley takes over, she wants Rafa there. I wouldn't trust Lee n Mike to get an appointment right if their pies depended on it., so if this takeover does disappear who would these idiots replace him with? This takeover has done us in, properly. We're completely stuck in limbo. It looks very bleak and hopeless no matter what we hear in regards a takeover. There's a pulse, but very little else - Mike has almost killed it. If he fcks up the sale of the club, that will be the end of it.
Bought most of them for the championship campaign and he knew we'd need to rebuild again for this season. Was given too little to get quality in and rebuild, not to mention was lied to about how much he'd have to spend. Also better players didn't want to come for some reason (wages perhaps, ie Ashley being a tight bastard). I don't mind people saying pick this player or that player because people do it even when a team is winning every game and people will talk about formations until the end of time but by far the over riding factor in a team's performance is the quality of your players and unfortunately ours aren't to **** hot. That Rafa has had them well organised (except for a handful of games) and motivated in general had won us points this season and kept us in with a shout of staying up. When you've got players who can't pass the ball 5 yards without giving it away what is the manager meant to do? No formation change or playing Perez or even Mitrovic instead of Joselu is going to make up for that. I will also say that we need to expect some squad rotation through this period as we are playing 2 games a week at the moment and Rafa will have fitness, fatigue and minor niggles in his mind. One thing I think we can all agree hopefully is that he's been good at keeping injuries to a minimum when you compare now to how we've been in the past with us topping the injury tables for years on end.
Some genuine questions post-match: - Where has Saivet gone, when he was decent enough (apart from the error) vs. West Ham? - Why has Diame been picked when playing dogshit, then as soon as he starts to do ok-ish, he also disappears? - Why is Aarons given so little time, when Murphy can keep playing abysmally and keep getting game time? I don't think Aarons is very good, but it's more about the fact he's in, then disappears. - Why do we give the ball to Yedlin for throw-ins when the tiny fcker does nothing with them, every fcking time? - Why Joselu? It's gone past joke to pure disgusting. - Where is ANY youth player? Heardman, Barlaser, Findlay, whoever? Not ONE has appeared this season. There are some VERY strange things happening under Rafael Benitez. I think the local media would do well to try to expose what is happening at the club, because whatever it is will get us relegated. We have NO identity. NO formation. NO idea what the best XI is. NO squad capable of rotation. NO strategy. NO plan B. It's frightening.
Again i completely agree with you. This is dire straits now and the takeover is killing us. Its basically giving everyone an excuse for the ****e we are watching. Rafa can blame it on uncertainty with transfer funds - diverting attention from him. The players can blame it on the uncertainty with their own personal position. Ashley can blame it for not spending. Deluded fans can blame it for everthing. When will ashley, rafa or the players some ****ing responsibility and stop blaming this shower of **** on the takeover. None of them have any balls!
The saivet one just baffles me. Is it the players who rafa least grief get to play? Why play him, watch him do quite well (we won with saivet and diame in cm) and then drop him like a bitch. Im gonna say it, rafa is as much to blame as anyone else.
Our passing is atrocious and it became terrible too around Christmas time last year in the championship after Rafa's tactics gradually got more and more negative. We only had 30% of possession against some of the smaller teams in the championship last season which was a disgraceful way for Newcastle to play. Rafa needs to buy a good metronome type DM to control our passing tempo so where not constantly panicking and giving the ball away.
No you would be, and that's how we get the deluded moniker. You think playing Mitro will somehow change everything, every week, like he's magically turned into Ronaldo. Nosey back at how he did as chief Wonderboy under Mclaren. Literally **** all and was in a better team. What actual basis do you have that he will improve this team? And tell me, honestly, who would do a better job? The best I heard was Pulis, which shows us where this team is at. Add to that Pulis wouldn't touch us considering he walked from Palace for less than Rafa. The problem was we couldn't string a pass together. Banging on about tactics is pointless if the players can't pass, how the **** could you say 451 or whatever would have changed the fact players couldn't complete a pass 2 yards from one another. No sub could have improved the awful passing of a whole team. It's clearly a mentality thing and is always more apparent when we're at home with a team we expect to beat. Doesnt help when fans ignore the fact that Brighton have a better team because it actually received investment and bought its first choices. No we're Newcastle, ergo we should attack and batter everyone outside the top 6. Who cares if we have a 5 mill Striker COS WE'RE NEWCASTLE Who cares we never got an AM COS WE'RE NEWCASTLE Who cares we wouldn't pay 40k for a semi-good keeper COS WE'RE NEWCASTLE Who cares if Rafa was stuck buying fourth choices on wages comparable to the staff at Lidl. WE'RE NEWCASTLE WE SHOULD BE ATTACKING LIKE 1996
