Is it worth pointing out that unemployment is low and employment is at record levels.
Granted Brexit is going to **** all that unless it gets stopped.

    WJ, glory

take a look at the table in this article http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article52118.html (I know it's 2 years old but that means our density is even worse). We need to restrict who can come here.

It was also Labour that reduced the bank regulations so helping to cause the financial crisis. Labour also financed all its extra spending by borrowing with no way of paying it back - remember the famous "There's no money left" note.

    Labour are ****ing clueless.

And yet, unemployment figures have continued to drop, even whilst this million people have migrated here.

The full 2017 number is not available, but if you look at the screenshot below, you'll see it's reduced 40% in the 5 years to 2016.

    upload_2017-12-30_15-14-49.png

The latest number to date is 1.429m, so as you can see from the link added, the decrease has continued.

    https://www.ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabourmarket/peoplenotinwork/unemployment/timeseries/mgsc/unem

I deliberately used the ONS table to provide consistency. This is not my area of expertise, so I used the first organisation I recognised - which is used widely by Government bodies, The Opposition, the media etc. I have no idea if they have any axe to grind, but I'm more familiar with them than the organisations you quoted. I also note that you don't rebut the numbers provided. Might be interesting to see what these other organisations say. And I do find myself wondering if they too, have an axe to grind.

I note that Mr Neil offers no sources to verify his assertion.

I further note that Mr Neil, quite apart from notably having an axe to grind himself, gave me another interesting piece of information (if the numbers are verifiable) - that the 'immigrant' number includes 146k students. Interesting - they bring a lot of money into our economy. Perhaps when you deride immigrants in future, you should be more specific, because Mr Neil appears to suggest that over 20% are paying guides..

    Certainly not Oz! :D

Us refers to the country, and as I mentioned, is at the government's disposal to use on the NHS.

If ours hadn’t done it when Mack and May were doing it in America they wouldn’t have reached 2008.
It required worldwide action, and guess who brought that about?

Jesus Christ **** you lot! You can't even keep your petty squables and political name-calling out of one of the best threads this forum has thrown up in ages. I waited ages to get onto here - **** only knows why. Time to leave you at it. That and a ****ing piss useless 1-0 loss against the bottom side thanks to a piss useless goal-keeper and a double piss useless manager.

Unemployment will always fall when you bus in cheap labour, unskilled cheap labour. Wages are depresses. Also there are millions who are classed as self employed due to the other robbing way employers are allowed to class Uber, almost all the courier delivery companies, Amazon drivers, zero hour contracts. Cheap labour unskilled igrants bussed into Victoria station daily, these are owned by overseas agents who provide houses, a job, teach them how to apply for all benefits, these shysters get paid, deduct rent and % of wages before handing the rest over. I know this as I have experience of it, even closing down some of these shyster bastards down south. Unemployment figuresarea joke and poor argument

I'm sorry, Doc, but I refuse to be further involved this discussion. It's become political, & I'm not interested in that aspect. I'm simply rebutting your apparently unfounded allegations about 'the immigrant situation', by providing solid statistics. All you are providing is a mix of opinion, hearsay and right wing hysteria. I refuse to be drawn into this. My argument is not driven by party-political nor Brexit/Remain alignment. My interest is based on the Economics principles & statistical fact. When you have a cogent, verifiable argument, I'll listen. Otherwise, I'm out.

I must say in passing that the proliferation of unfounded right wing hysteria scares the living shiite out of me. It'll be Brownshirts & the Farage Youth next.
