Very good result in itself - the team can hold their heads a bit higher now. The problem is logically the results that came before, which meant a draw in itself will probably leave us a bit further off the play offs this aftermoon. Still, I'm very happy with that given the injuries. Now Robinson has to set us up to win against the Jills. Anything less will be insufficient.
Considering current form the result was a pleasant surprise, but some of the reaction to it does show how expectations have changed. Means nothing if we don't start picking up 3points regularly, beating teams we should beat, and getting the signings in that this Club deserves.
Right - who voted for the draw? And what’s tonight’s lottery result? We’ve been poor lately but this result shows they are still playing for KR. That shouldn’t be underestimated.
KAG getting a lot of better reports later. Didn't score last night, but at least seems to be getting in the right places and making himself available, sadly in contrast to the almost extiguished Mag. Really if I were to pick holes in Robbo, his reliance on a rapidly fading Mag was major starting point.
I take it you mean reaction in other places? Credit has been given here, but nobody has got carried away as far as I know. Had Charlton still been in good form we might have expected and accepted a ground-out draw, but in the current circumstances not getting a drubbing turned out to be a surprise as well as a relief. But I don't think we are under any illusions. And the team knew well in advance how tough yesterday would be, they had time to mentally prepare. Lack of mental preparation for games against the likes of Southend might ultimately be our undoing.
Robinson hasn't got any other options than Magennis. Best has been ordinary and is now injured. Who else is there?
Charlton last six home games...13th in form table W2 D3 L1 Gillingham last six away games ... 3rd in form table W4 D1 L1 Don't expect the Travellers to be an easy win!
I applaud Robinson's decision to drop Reeves, despite Fosu and Clarke being injured. I'd like to see him shifted out in January. Lack of fitness is one thing, lack of enthusiasm is another.
Keep an eye on the following fixtures this afternoon; MK Dons V Peterborough United Portsmouth V Northampton Town Walsall V Rotherham United A win for either Peterborough or Portsmouth puts 6th place four points beyond us, Anything but defeat for Rotherham will drop us back into 9th place.
