If we get anything from this game I will need plastic surgery to remove my grin, but I am expecting nothing and certainly don't intend to meltdown....unless the loss is massive. The next game is key....won't say a must win because that puts a curse on it. From now on every point is a victory...I think we will just crawl over the line because we will be marginally less awful than 3 other teams. Keeping cheerful keeps me going
Really not expecting anything here... They're due a win at home and Lukaku is due a goal or two, and how he loves scoring against the smaller sides. Reckon it will be relatively comfortable for them without being a thrashing etc.
Sigh. 2 seasons ago we would go to Old Trafford knowing we might lose but hoping for a smash and grab win, or even turn them over, like we tend to do every 15 years or so. Now we are all predicting a drubbing. So Lawro logic, saints are due a big win and a scalp, 1-4 will be the score. Yoshida, holgjejoyyybesrdghkg and a brace from Redmond.
https://www.footballfancast.com/premier-league/man-united-v-southampton-everything-you-need-to-know Summary of match stats.....United and Saints with injury concerns and poor recent form. I think we can trump United's concerns though.
I can confidently predict that, at 4:50, we will still be very much in the game. However, by the end of the match (yes, I know it's a 5:30 ko), the Sky commentators will have drooled over the way that Liverpool's ambition will have been improved by Van Dyjk (or similar), will have sold off most other Saints players, and will gloss over the irritating fact that we still won.
