Nhs gets worse every year because the elphant in the room is mass immigration which has added 1 million extra people in the last 3 years. Racist to talk about that though. On my ward recently I was 1of 2 UK citizens, the rest were from Eastern Europe, so 75% of my ward were from overseas. These are facts and before anyone kicks off and says the Nhs needs free movement todo the caring, please do research where you will find only 6% of all Nhs staff are from Europe. Newcastle has 250,000 citizens which is the equivelqnt of how mnay migrats we got last year. Newcastle has 7 major hospitals, and 85 major schools. We dont build those 7 major hospitals every year do we or those schools we just swamp existing services. Wak eup to facts folks. Doc, you're right in saying that our population has increased, but are you aware that our GDP per capita has continued to rise during the period you mention? What I'm saying is that whilst the population has grown, we have still managed to generate more wealth per head - and these new arrivals are included in the figures. Now ask yourself a question. What has the government done with this additional wealth? Have they increased the NHS budget proportionally? We both know the answer to that one - NO. So don't blame immigrants - they're actually helping us to get wealthier. Blame the Government (although tory at the moment, I very much doubt any other party would do otherwise). Yes I had a bad experienced in the cancer ward the nurse who fit my canula made an elementary mistake so that my chemo was not going into my vein a blood was pouring out instead I called the nurse and for the next 24 hours they had to ice my arm every hour not good when you are exhausted I caught fleabitus from the mistake and yes I suggested he got retrained as it had cost a great deal of money and time putting his slackness to bed
Easy to quote reports from pro free movement orgs, but trust me there are many more from unbiased orgs, including HoC library that says that GDP uplift is paid for by the tax payer to the tune of £15bn per year, some even state £30bn. The main problem is unskilled migrants who pay no tax because they can earn £11.7k without paying tax, they then recieve housing benefit and in work benefits that more than double their £11.7k salary. Of all the figures quoted about the number of foreign and UK employies in your NHS, it doesn't tell you how many are admin staff and how many are doctors/nurses or other front line staff.
Looking at those numbers,its nearly 75% unemployed come on you remainers,tell us how they are helping the economy.
But not working is not the same as claiming benefits. As a for instance most Thai brides don’t work but many a rich man can afford to run one without burdening the tax payer. If you can find the Thai equivalent of pound stretcher even you might find one.
