Will Harold Kane join the British flops to move to the continent in search of fame and riches?

There’s been better footballers ( not one trick ponies) that have failed in this quest. There’s a long list but I can see the eager for success Harold following the footsteps of the greats like Dean Saunders at Benfica and Stan Collymore at Real Oviedo.

But we won’t mention Ian Rush (Juventus) and Dennis Law (Torino)

Thoughts please Lads, no third rate rate wummery.

Got a bet with HIAG. If Spurs haven't won any trophies by the end of next season, then he'll be off <ok>

If he's still playing with the same form then as he is now, then he could do very well abroad.

Mikey "the manc" Owen was a flop at Real and Beckham wasn't much better,McManaman is a hero there though after helping them to win the CL twice.

Not many British players make the grade in Spain, I think Harry on current form would do well.

That's actually a pretty good question to pitch up.

There aren't a great load of successful examples to think of over the years.

Many thought that Bale wouldn't succeed but the lad did well. So did Becks, and a few others. But not many.

If he does go abroad I really hope he does succeed. But it's a different style of football, different culture, different climate, it ain't so straight forward.

Good luck to the lad if he does go.

    But I don't think he will :emoticon-0138-think

Not many do I agree, but Becks did. But unfair to say he didn't.

1 league title isn't a big return from a player of his status (at the time), look at McManaman's contribution there by comparison.

But it was a different squad. Yes, SM had a great time there. Becks joined the squad after MacMananam, when RM won less honours. That's not down to Becks; the whole squad just wasn't as good.

You can't fairly compare 2 different circumstances.

MacMananam was a great player and had a great time there. But that doesn't diminish Becks contribution within a lesser squad.

I'm not attempting to compare players or eras, just saying big name English players don't always have the desired effect when deciding to go to Spain.

Pep will be sniffing around him, forget about Spain. City will take him if they want him. FIFA will let Pep off with the FFP stuff.

Hasn't one of the Spurs loyal players already paved the way to the Etihad?

He wasn't no Homeboy Harry Kane...no one else is at Spurs. I can see anyone leaving but Kane is one of them rare breeds where if he moved he wouldn't move to another PL team
