Try visiting a few other forums and look at how they conduct political debates - there is as much, often more, abuse than you will see here. You should also look at how much abuse you have dished out in the past, and get your own house in order before pointing the finger anywhere else.
Totally fine with me.... but politics is not the be all and end all you know... personally I find much of it divisive and poison and actually I dont think you will find newcomers actually getting any abuse....... unless of course they dish it out.. Why dont you get one or two of your mates to join up??
Kettle / Black? I very much doubt that there is any desire to see a change in the status quo. In 2018 we will continue to see the UK rubbished on here and anyone daring to post anything right of centre will be a legitimate target, long live the clique.
Totally wrong. The Tory supporting newcomer I posted about earlier was subject to abuse although he was well extremely well behaved during his short period with us. Being a Tory on here is akin to being in the Lion's enclosure, the trouble is I'm no Kirk Douglas!!!
Funny how I have opposite views politically to many on here and I have always been treated to genuine, honest friendship.

I have discussed politics with Dave on here, and despite not agreeing with each other we have listened to what the other has to say.
That is not an insult... but a turn of phrase... cmon...... why dont you attend to the rest of what I am, saying? oh... and there are debating rules are there?? Well you should think of that when you make nasty remarks about hippies and sandals etc when you comment to me then shouldnt you????
I think with the evening session coming on we should move the debating society to the politics thread and settle down for chess, checkers and bar billiards in the nest.... House rule no politics or religion here....
